« It’s the history of it, Lazar explained Sunday morning at Rogers Arena. « I’ve grown up a fan. It’s not only about us. It’s the present and the past – the Sedins (Canuck Hall-of-Famers Daniel and Henrik), the Stan Smyls, the Orland Kurtenbachs, the list goes on and on with guys that have worn that jersey and been proud to represent this organization and this city. »

I think it’s news to everyone that they’re now calling this a “rebuild”?
Ooof. Great captain. Hopefully we give him a fresh start somewhere else. Maybe this is his way of asking out.

It must be hard to get paid millions of dollars and put in absolutely no investment playing in your own end

Bo has had a good start to the season so far, I hope they are actively shopping him.

We’re these comments from the 2021/2022 season?

He may not even want to re-sign here. He may value a cup win over loyalty. Can’t fault him for that.
Best to trade him. Great player. Many teams will bid for him.
Colorado needs a real 2nd line center and they have quality assets like Byram and Newhook.

Great 11-year rebuild guys

Sounds about right.
At this point I hope they don’t start winning so we can actually rebuild the team the way it should have been done years ago.
Lazar is right – it’s all about the history. The history of never doing things the right way, always trying to cut corners, caring more about money than seeing success in the sport, being okay with « just making it to the playoffs », and the resulting 50+ years of failure.

This doesn’t look like a rebuild, this looks like another year of the management doing whatever big daddy Francesco tells them to do
