I'm shocked at how poor Vancouver are right now. Great effort to exploit the mistakes by Buffalo. My poor tame Canuck went back to bed very unhappy so I'm on the sofa for safety! (Game faced off 3am here in GB)
She did say how glad she was that 1 of our teams didn't suck, but it was through gritted teeth! (She suffers the Canucks stoically these days)
Onto Seattle hopefully for a western sweep. I know they'll dip a bit but I can see a plus 500 season once they settle as a unit.

Even in a down period, the kids don't get down or let down for the rest of the game. Loved Dahls reaction to whatever was said upon taking that early penalty. He and the boys gave the Canucks notice of coming events… Like Twisted Sister said… "We ain't gonna take it, anymore !"
The woes in the second definitely correlated with Samuelson going down. It seems it took the team much of the second period to figure out how to play without him. Definitely shows his value to the team.

I don't like to boo at a parade, but what's with Skinner? He's looked lost for most of the season so far. This is an experienced vet, who should be able to find his scoring touch by now. If not for Tuch & Dahlin's timely goals, this western Canada trip would be a disaster. I can give a pass to youngsters like Thompson & Cozens, but Skinner has to find his game soon!

Wayne , really enjoyable brand of hockey. Speed , skills , great goaltending. Really fun to watch. The only thing this team really screams of need is some muscle ( and not a goon ) fun !
Not only this road trip is important from the winning standpoint, but this is where teams are gelling most – building friendships and camaraderie between players, you can see every scrimmage that happens on ice 4 or 5 Sabres are in it, they are playing for each other, they got one another's back, the body language, the swagger, you can see how tight this team is becoming.
It’s still early but they are impressing me and they are making me eat my words they are showing me they don’t need Kane but it would still be nice to get him it’s just not a huge deal if they don’t get him

I think what happened in 2nd period was Buffalo started getting too fancy and guys were trying too many beat guys by myself moves and passes, once they went back to playing normal they were fine. Tage, Skinner and Tuch line was dominate!

I’m most impressed with the way the Sabres are playing as a five man unit. Great coaching has brought this team to a whole new level. Too many names to mention so I’ll just say, “keep it up boys.”

The Sabres have the type of team that could have 10 different 20+ goal scorers and not one 40 goal scorer, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Go Sabres! Go Bills!
I watched the game on SNET Ontario but their camera feeds are obviously from Vancouver (hear me out on this, it is going somewhere). I never noticed before, but their cameraman seemed to be much further away from the play than other views. At first I was annoyed because of the distance but then as the game went on…the far view showed how good the boys really are in their passing plays and vision to see each other. Their plays are showing so much confidence. 2 games ago I complained about their long passes that resulted in icing calls, now their long passes are 70% connecting with the teammate and opening a lot of opportunities.
Nice to see we're playing 60 minutes a game so far this year instead of 40.
