definitely good ideas gonna have to go with a top 6 winger i don’t believe that bunting is deserving of a first line roll maybe someone who is physical but also a good 2 wga player to play with mitchy and matthews

Trade Muzzin and Holl. Whatever we get from both of those players should be combined with Kerfoot in a trade for Lawson Crouse who could fill that 2nd line left wing. Crouse is a RFA and if we can get him at 3-3.5m on a 4-5 year deal would be huge for us.
Muzzin, I wouldn't care if they traded him. I think he's had is days. But Kerfoot I wish they would keep. The guy is a spark plug, every shift he gives a 100%.

If your trading those guys ya gotta be getting draft picks to have that cap space..only way this makes sense is they find a team and package them for a player..I see em trading muzzin, keeping holl and kerfoot and using the space from muzzin to resign sandin
Muzzin to LA if they have the space.Toronto would be looking for a young right shot d. they can work with.Tavares for Wheeler would work because Wheeler doesnt have to be the captain.Mathews is the captain in everyone's eyes.Would give Wheeler a good shot at a cup.Tavares could be the captain in Winnipeg and be their 2and line center.Wheeler could fill the 2and to 3rd lines to rest players or if injuries.
If we trade all Kerfoot, Holl, and Muzzin in total makes $10M in cap space, then sign Sandin and Engvall, maybe the top 6 forward they should get is Nino Niederreiter, Sonny Milano, or someone else that is a top 6 forward

That top 6 forward should be Kadri, hands down, no question.
the issue is you have alot less depth. muzzin I'm good with because he just can't stay healthy, kerfoot gives great value, holl who cares. I'd rather send sandin and muzzin if they'd do it to Arizona for chychurun kerfoot and Robertson for jt miller
What makes you think teams will be open to trade for these players ? Don’t think so and good luck with that. These are all money cap dumps and at the end Toronto will have to offer something on each trade and the things are right now a lot teams are having problems getting rid of the problems with cap

Sign Nino Niedereitter and Sonny Milano on a cheap prove me deal.
Kerfoot to Seattle for Soucy and a 2nd in 2023. Could play Soucy with Liljegren day 1 and have Giordano as an emergency call up.
Holl to Montreal for considerations.

^^^The top 3 lines will have a scoring threat. Not many teams would have that deep of a roster so it will be hard to defend against that with favorable matchups for Nylander.
The 4th line will have a bit of skill and tenacity.
As long as we get above average goaltending and a favorable matchup not named Tampa I think we have a solid shot being amongst the final 4 come playoff time.
They would have 2-4 years to get it done before considering a move on from Brodie and Nylander and possibly Marner if he gets us some good pieces back.
Trade them for top six forward like Conor Garland
A lot of folks really hating on Muzzin, but I don't think it's a coincidence that the Leafs slump in the season was while Muzzin was hurt.
We need some big defenceman the leafs were getting bullied.Have a mean 4th line big hitters and fighters
The leafs won't do anything until arbitration is finished once they know how certain players will affect the cap than they'll make their moves if any
