We will continue to give up our #1 draft picks for the next 3 years and our # 2 picks for 5 years so we can get some average, old players. And there is also the waiver players that are so good that we build a great core. Oh and we will not give the young drafted players a chance to prove themself in the NHL, because they can be sent down to the AHl. We must protect our waiver picks at all cost. And then there is the defence.Except for Dillon the rest of the defence are forbiden to body check, block shots or clear the front of the net. I bet Montreal will thank us for letting Kovacevic go, just like we let Ben Chariot go, all because he gave Wheeler a deserved beating one time. Most likely a bottom 10 ten team, but that won't help us because we will trade away a great drafted player for someone average like we did for Laine and throw in a good drafted player and a million dollars. Excetp for our best player, Ehlers, and Conner it is time to clean out all the overpaied players and let the young players prove they are worth being in tha NHL. They would likely end up also in the bottom 10 but the year would make them so much better going forward.
Jets aren't playing a full 60 and results like tonight, the Vegas game and the Dallas game are what happens. Need to ramp the fucking intensity up from start to finish or it'll be same story as last year.

As a fan I’m not too disappointed because I expected us to be a bottom 3 team but what I am angry about is us wasting hellys prime. Hellebuyck is one of the best goalies in the league and deserves to play with a team that’s going to be playing competitive hockey night in and night out. I want hellebuyck to stay with us for his whole career but if we don’t show some promise at some point this season he might start to want out.

5 games in and we're going to panic? Come on. We have an unbelievably difficult schedule to start the year. We beat a semi final team and the cup champions. I'm pleasantly surprised we have 2 wins. And you're really going to say Lowry does nothing cause he doesn't score? I absolutely hate that argument. The team still has awful Paul Maurice habits they need to break. They have 77 games to do that. We'll be alright.

It’s damn embarrassing and to be honest with you as a Jets fan I feel absolutely humiliated, and I cannot for the life of me stand Maple leaf fans , they are the worst, who are like let’s beat up on little Winnipeg to make ourselves feel better ,even though we haven’t won shit and are team is cursed. They have also a false sense of how good their team is, I know the narrative is the leafs are so much better than the jets but if Ehlers and samberg were playing and Toronto didn’t bring in the goons this game would be much different
