[Micah Blake McCurdy] Ce qui est arrivé aux Canucks : un petit fil
The 5v5 offence is basically the same. 2.52 -> 2.54 xG per 60, looks like a small downgrade because leaguewide xG rates are up. pic.twitter.com/pV1E6diQSp

In English please….what’s happened to the Canucks?
I see a preschool art project.
Interesting indeed, one of the last things I expected to be our major issue this season would have been goaltending
Garbage from the top down. Don’t need any fancy stats or heat maps.
I know it’s not as simple as this but we need a right handed shot on the umbrella. Our PP has 0 threats on the left side, Bo and Petey are our only shooters. Get Boeser or Myers on the leftside or something, we just need to make the PKers move more. They collapse on Petey’s side and if Miller is gonna make a play, he can’t 1-T and that gives defenders time to adjust. Boeser must have a terrible one timer since two coaches now have refused to play him there. Maybe Myers is the key (until we acquire someone else)
Last season’s run after Bruce joined the team was also attributed mainly to Demko being on fire. We live and die by Demko.
One can’t randomly fix goaltending … But the PP is way too static. They set up and then don’t move around enough. Everyone knows the point players can’t shoot well enough to be a consistent threat … So the PK covers the pass forcing the two shooters out of the circles. Then when they receive the pass on the boards, the PK box just collapses on whoever has the puck. If you can’t keep that box honest with a big point shot, then the players have to move around more than they do. The most threatening they were against Buffalo was when Rathbone started to skate around with the puck, opening up the lanes.
Edit: this is « expert » knowledge from a guy who never played …
Not sure if I can trust this. Is there someone with four names who has done the analysis?
