  1. Signing for only 2.5 million base plus shows he's in it for the love of the game. Not the money. Kudos to Krejci also. Signing for just 1 million base plus. Yes they are 37 & 36 yrs old but Bruins scored on these contracts.

  2. All the success the Bruins have had in the last 10-15 years is all thanks to this man. He has always put the team ahead of himself and he continues to do so with this signing. Absolute hockey legend

  3. All of the sudden everyone wants to come back, yeah goodbye Cassidy!

  4. THIS is a true Captain! The team first mentality is something that I hope will carry on to other bruins for years to come. He speaks about "still" having something in the tank as if he's on some kind of decline, and no longer elite. Even when the stats prove otherwise. You would be hard pressed to find any other player of this caliber whose willing to leave money on the table while having the resume Patrice has, especially at this point in his career. Krejci is very similar.FOREVER PROUD TO CALL THEM BRUINS. thank you for all you have done for the organization. Truly inspiring!

  5. This Man is an absolute Bruins Legend. The Leadership skills he has, on top of being one of the best players in the game. We are a lucky Fan Base. LETSS GOOO BRUINS!!!! (TD Garden Crownd Chant) I can't wait for this season!

  6. Bergeron is the epitomy of class and professionalism. The Bruins are better with him than without. With him back in the fold along with DK, signing Zacha and the alleged lock up of 88, it's up to Sweeney to improve and bolster other parts of the roster – like the D.

  7. Patrice Bergeron is the heart of the Boston Bruins…His selfless leadership , his heart and his dedication to Boston will be talked about for years to come. We, as a city feel blessed and grateful for his return.

  8. Not sure what you think of Sweeney I can’t stand him not as a person but as a decision maker! Your an all around class act and you along with a few others deserve a REAL competitive team not just providence players. I hope you get to have a full competitive NHL roster

  9. BERGIE….for all you do and have done for my beloved Bs….THANK YOU!!!!
the consummate professional and teammate …..unselfish beyond words
and to own multiple selkies says all you need to know about his full game and capacities.
one of the very few athletes that i would spend $$ buying their jersey and have my daughters proudly wear!!
that literally is as high of praise as i can bestow upon you brother//you are the best

  10. Hall of Fame player. Hall of Fame person. Whomever is in 2nd in the pantheon of great Boston players and great people is not close… perhaps Bill Russell is on the same level … Didn’t have the privilege of knowing Mr Russell. Blessed to know #37.

  11. I cant believe he's almost towards retirement feels like yesterday we just got him
