Idk this was pretty clearly about two different parts of the game. Boudreau is talking about the two Canes goals and the start to the period. Miller is clearly talking about the attempted comeback.
This sub needs to stop pushing this anti Miller nonsense for no apparent reason.

Some of y’all gonna still hate on Miller but he played a great game outside his two goals tonight. He skated hard on back checks and got his stick between plays during those back checks. He was physical, had good positioning and was vocal on the ice. This was his best game and I hope he continues that kind of play.
Also, some of you want to be mad about his comments regarding jerseys thrown onto the ice but in the same breath want players to show personality. I’d rather see that than a PR statement every night

Miller played well, he was throwing hits, constantly communicating with the team, and scored two goals. Let the guy breath, he knows

« Pushing pretty good » is not enough when you have lost 7 consecutive games, including 5 blown leads, 4 of which where multigoal leads and you are the only winless team in the NHL.
But Miller was better indeed and Carolina is a tough team. But its hard not to lose perspective given the circumstances.

I noticed that the Canes were very proactive whereas our guys were very reactive. Lots of waiting for the puck. Canes were puck hounds all night. They deserved that win.

Cherry picking comments. Bruce said right after that quote, “you saw when we scored that goal we started to push” essentially right in line with what miller said….end story

Truth is somewhere in the middle. Effort was okay in the third but the best defense in the league is always going to be stingy. Can’t play from behind against them.
