Advanced stats said this would happen. We learned how to score overnight. We looked great, skated fast, and looked like what we expected.

Holtz had a bad game, can’t wait to see what happens there. On the flip, Zetterlund had 6! Shots on net. Great game from him, expect him in next game.

Bratt and Hughes need to be together. They work too well together and just make it happen.

Hire lindy? Or is that too far

  2. disteriaa

Best game I’ve seen from the Devils in forever. Very complete game. PK looked great, Zetterlund had a fantastic game.

Only bad part was Holtz. The entire game the only two times I noticed him was when he took a penalty and then when he watched the second Wings goal slide by him before falling over.

  3. DontDraftSmall

Main story for me is that Bratt is on the verge of being a superstar in this league. That’s going to cost some coin.

  4. DavidPuddy666

Super impressed with Bratt, but why does he keep getting so little ice time?

  5. SevenwithaT

Jesper « Aaron Judge » Bratt in a contract year

  6. Nanojack

Bratt was the best player out there. 3 points. So why the hell did his ice time get cut?

  7. MC_Fap_Commander

#THE DEVILS MAY NEVER LOSE AGAIN!

  8. Dinwiddiefrom3

NGL I hate they gave out Greenes number already

  9. Chico-_-

This team, when they’re on, just does not stop coming (haha cum). They’re absolutely relentless. Huge comeback win. Now just don’t get embarrassed by the Avs. I don’t need a win, just don’t get dominated.

  10. ball_blam_burglerber

The EC is just a joke at how good it is if you go look at the standings right now.

  11. I wish we knew what Bratt’s agent asked for last offseason so I know if I can be mad at Fitz for not giving it to him

  12. aasania

Fitzy – just hand Bratt a blank check already. He’s only going to get more expensive as the season goes on.

  13. ThatsNotDiscoOfYou

Got Marino for Smtih and a 3rd btw don’t you forget it

  14. Solid win. Wings are really improved over the past few years

I know we all have complaints at times, but holy shit this team can be fun to watch on nights like this

  15. Zestyclose_Estate248

Zetterlund looks like he wants a spot.

  16. Thehawkman2

Good bounce back game, especially on the second half of a back to back after a bad loss.

  17. dan4hockey99

    Remember “what 16min isn’t enough”

  18. armchaircommanderdad

Our short game passes are so much better. A lot of quick triangle attacks with the 2nd or 3rd guy ripping a shot before the lane closes

thats gotta be a brunnete thing, Ruff hasnt had them doing that

  19. MartysBetter29

I still feel like this team is winning despite Lindy, not because of him. The talent is here, I seriously think that the right coach would push this team over the line

  20. uticadevil

Bratt – 1.71 points per game

Nico – 1.33 points per game

    Hamilton – PPG

  21. LaHondaSkyline

Is it too soon to say the Devils play good D?

They still fail to clear at times (as Dano was correctly pointing out in the 3rd).

But the fact is they are just not allowing many shots against….

  22. DenKaneyko

Imagine turning this game off after the first 5 minutes lol

  23. chefboleson

keep zet in, switch bahl and smith already, we will never lose again

  24. rjlud02

Good thing Nico and Hughes are $8m per so we can afford Bratts $10M per

  25. iamcornholyoh

Holtz needs to attend the Bratt School of Skating

  26. LaHondaSkyline

Suddenly Lindey Ruff is a hockey genius…..

    O.k. maybe not.

  27. fartswhenhappy

This game and the Isles game were some of the most fun I’ve had watching Devils hockey in a while.

  28. dishler712

Lookin like Bratt was right to not sign long term this past summer. Man’s about to get paid.

  29. DevilJacket2000

Couldn’t watch the game, but it seems like everyone stayed on the hot hot side tonight, while all that other bullshit was on the cool cool side.

  30. gandaalf

Still very early but seriously looks like something is brewing this season. They seem to be mostly beating the teams they should beat.

  31. turdnugget44

It might be the green talking and buzzing around to this start to the year but I think Bratt is gonna be like our version of the wings Datsyuk… And while we’re on a roll screw it.. Jacky is gonna be our Patty Kane… Cinco de mayo kaner included

  32. JerseyDev93

Maybe Bratt will have a season like Judge and carry us to the playoffs

  33. Nico, Bratt, Shango, Hughes, Mercer.. 5 of our top 6 guys had goals tonight!

  34. LaHondaSkyline

I can guarantee that the Red Wings will be bidders for Mr. J. Bratt’s services in the off-season. They have cap space, they really need him, and they will be good with just a few roster changes. Devils MUST secure him long term.

  35. mustachiolong

Historically Washington is our kryptonite. The game they play just counters ours. Tonight was exactly the kind of game I expected us to play. I wasn’t super worried after last night because it’s almost a meme that Washington shits down our throats.

  36. ThatsNotDiscoOfYou

    For all my fellow degenerates

Your NHL co-scoring leader Jesoer Bratt is sitting on a very comfy +10000 to win the Hart. It is only game 7 but Jesper has been confirmed to be That Guy so who knows

  37. jersey39

Keep bratt and jack together. No reason to separate the two. Everyone says he needs an elite winger well there you have it. Both can shoot and both can create chances. Throw sharongovich on the other wing.

  38. iamtheprodigy

PSA: Jesper Bratt is an RFA after this season. Everyone fucking chill with the « I hope he doesn’t walk » talk. And hey, while I have your attention, the Devils are above the Rangers in the standings (for the moment at least), are above .500, and have a positive goal differential. Thank you and goodnight.
