These guys are HUNGRY. Talent goes a long way, but determination and hard work is worth a lot more. These guys want to play. I think what often happens is people focus on big names and talent and those guys who want to make a difference don’t get played. Look at Hagel for example, dude shone because he had the opportunity to play. Love seeing this and hope it remains
I don’t think there was any point last season where the Hawks were in a playoff position. It’s only been two weeks but this team is so fun.

I can’t help but think we don’t do this without breaking apart Kane/Debrincat. Hear me out…
I think taking the attention away from that star-pairing is important for a team. They have to know that they have to work for goals, and any line can get one. Once that’s in place, then a star line can come in and upgrade the offense, but the mentality and system have to be in place before that. Otherwise the other lines become secondary and complacent.
Y’all know I never ever doubted this team during the off season and first two games. Ever.
