  1. Georgiev sandbagged the entire time he was in NY, except that last game against Carolina

  2. This game reminds me a lot of when the Avs played the Lightning early last year in the regular season, both went to shootout and goalies played amazing

I got Avs Rangers for the Stanley Cup

  3. As a Rangers fan, I was disappointed to see Georgiev go, but also happy for him. Sure he is not perfect, but for the few times I remember seeing him play at the garden, pre Igor, he made some incredible saves and from my perspective, was favorable with fans in the arena. I remember everyone chanting his name at the name at the garden, only to then hear strictly Igor chants after shesty finally cemented himself. Must have really sucked sitting on the bench thinking, “wtf just happened”. I honestly felt bad for him as a fan ha! As someone in the comments just mentioned, this game shows that the two are closer than some presume, and if alex can get a bit more consistency, than he is low key a force to be reckoned with.

  4. as a rangers fan, it sucks were on a losing streak but what a hockey game! amazing by both shesty and georgie, good on ya georgie, proud to see you progressing.

  5. Rangers fan here, glad to see Georgiev doing really well. He had a lot to prove tonight and looked phenomenal. Do I wish he was back on our team? No. Igor is our starter and Georgiev deserves to be a starter on a team of his own. Do I miss him? Of course. Tonight was an extremely intense game where both goalies did their all, both teams deserved a point after tonight. Sucks that it came down to a shootout, Igor has a tendency to get anxious. Overall, amazing game that I can't be upset with.

  6. King George just needs consistent starting time in the net in order to improve. Something he was never going to get in NYC.
