I think so.
Leafs should always have Tough Gritty players in the Line up.
they played a lot better with them in the lineup
Yes! the stars play better with some muscle in the line-up
We shouldn't have traded kadri. We got value back, but it's hard to draft a player like him. A gritty player who can play in the middle six makes people respect your team.
Darcy Tucker’s Nick Kyperos type players Gary Roberts. Shayne Corson, Ty Domi. Toronto would an Unbeatable Machine . Then they should win the Cup.
Leafs will crush the Knights tonight. Simmonds and Clifford will hammer Vegas into oblivion.
Yep…gotta utilize some sandpaper to get a beautiful finish 👈🏼👀
Won’t be any more taking “liberties” with Mathews, Marner, Robertson etc.
They create space for the skill players 🏒 to put the puck in the 🥅
.
Leafs need a Lawson Crouse on that left wing and a big 6th RHD like oleksiak.
Leafs need a far more convincing presence that is consistently on their top three lines. I have a lot of respect for these guys but they are not the young capable heavyweights we need. These guys will keep getting penalties they are too slow, different era.
Yeah, i think going old school will be good for the long term because Toronto’s star players have to be protected from being injured or hurt from all of theses hits that could potentially impact the outcome of the game. Even if Clifford and Wayne Simmon have to beat up some of the players on the other team to let them know that they’re not going to hurt their teammates. Like Mitch Marner, Nick Robertson, and even Austin Matthews.
next up on Kyper and Bourne
Can 3 extra wraps of tape on Sidney Crosby’s stick really lead the Penguins to another stanley cup appearance?
Kyper and Bourne dive deep to bring you the answers.
.
..having to carry offensive liabilities to protect your over paid soft core in a tight cap world is a recipe for losing…..
what did he mean by grocery stick on the bench?
"old school" lol SN dorks ….well i guess that all depends SN can you go f..k yourself …..of course leafs need the physical dimension kyle and wayne bring !!! all teams need that, its a CONTACT !! sport ffs
Every team needs muscle in the lineup…keeps everyone in check.
It rubs off on the younger players, too. They're not young ladies. They're big strong dudes. Having Wayne and Clifford around emboldens the young guys and they know they've got their backs. On top of that, they're both really excellent players. Treating them like attack dogs is counter-productive. Regular shifts keeps them flying with the younger guys. It's best all round. I've been screaming for this lineup since game three in the last playoffs. Thanks to whoever made this possible. Don't forget, JT is a veteran, too, so it's gonna be intense out there. Couldn't be happier right now.
Perhaps get someone who isn't washed up and get someone who can play and be physical..
They had a guy exactly like that and Guess what??? The Dufas traded him for powder puff Malgin…his name is Mason Marchment! Good blood lines.
I don't believe long term it will work. The really good teams will kill you if the goons take a stupid penalty just to prove a point.
I don’t think it’s really a long term solution. I think it’s more of a throw down to the other guys who got healthy scratched. Like you guys need to provide more. Hopefully they get the message and bring it when they get back in the lineup.
