American here, just curious. Do leafs fans feel like TSN and sports net focus too much of their time on specifically the leafs, or do people up there want to here anything/everything leafs from goal scoring to Austin Matthew’s favorite shampoo? I know that THIS IS a maple leafs show, I’m talking about all of the other “nhl” shows that seem to just bring the convo back to the leafs.

Lock the keys to the cupboard where they keep the draft picks! Dubas has traded away too many draft picks already. It is like the "draft smaft" attitude of Cliff Fletcher. Dubas is in over his head. Mr. Dubas back to the Sault for you!

Chychrun has never played a full season and the leafs don't need another small non-physical forward, they have 11 or 12 of them playing every night.
They have to shore up their defence. Not even Vasilevsky could save this team. Too many 2 on 1s, break aways and lost puck battles. It’s a long season and they will get better but cup contention is out of the question with the current D core

Most Teams shouldn’t jeopardize future 1st round picks for a rental player…if your a really good team every night and your team just looks solid close to the end of the year it’s a different story to get a solid player for a pick…leafs are not at that point…they aren’t consistent the don’t have the physical players nor the defence to waste a pick on a hope. Keep the picks!
Leafs management will waste picks to save their jobs and ultimately ruin this team even more down the road for the next management group.
Those guys will be unemployed in the spring if the Leafs don't get beyond the first round, and they know it, so expect them to go all out.

So, perhaps a weird take ― and one that is not coming from a Leafs fan, it must be said ― but I don't feel like the problem is a lack of talent on the ice. Nor do I think it's a lack of mental strength or a lack of a desire to win. But year in, year out since the beginning of the Matthews era, I can't say that I ever looked at that team and thought : "wow, those guys look like they're having fun". So if they are to make a trade, maybe they should look for that kind of player. The one who's always just hyped to play hockey and who always wears a big smile on his face. Maybe fun is actually the missing ingredient here. I dunno.

guys, the first round pick for the leafs will always be around late 20th, as long as we can go deep in the playoff, i don't mean that it has no value but we r in win now mode, the reality question is whether or not dubas know what this team need and what kind of player this team need. i'm not sure jakcob chychrun is the right defenceman we need, but one thing for sure is that holl has to go, and with all the cap available now, it is time for dubas start to fix his own mistake little by little, and he could start from holl
The issue comes from having players over 8 million. I'd rather four lines with each line making 14 mil and 7 mil to each d pair.
I think it's time to recognize is that Dubas built his team based on the salary increasing and Kessel money coming off the books. Instead he had to navigate a pandemic with no increase to the cap.
Just trade Holl for a $20 pylon and Leafs are already a better team.

Sadly I believe regardless of what the Leafs do, they'll lose in the 1st-2nd round again. They are still lacking 2 highly physical energy players like a 10 years younger Wayne Simmons, they dislike the physical play usually shown in the playoffs. It's not the goalie.
The Leafs dont have a player that steps forward and scores when the game is on the line (Mathews No). They dont have a Gretsky, Lemieux, Crosby, Jagr, Forsberg or even Sundin. The team is built from the wrong end (from the front). Sell JT and get a star D man!
If it gets you Chychrun or Tom Wilson, yeah first rounder if worth trading.
