Engvall, Kerfoot, Brodie, Jarnkrok, Malgin, Holl and Rielly are as physical as a 90-year-old wheelchair bound lady. Vegas size was too much for this team and this team would never beat Vegas in a series.

That's what they signed up for when they brought in Tavares for $11M. They were already topped up capwise in forwards and have to pay the price as long as half the cap goes to 4 players.
I stayed up for this game… it was painfull. Like a kick to the balls. I felt bad for Samsonov. I would bet that if they put Justin Holl on waivers that he wouldnt be claimed. And if he was…. oh well.
At what point do you make changes. Is American thanksgiving to late? I think if the Leafs go win for lose over the next month I think Keefe is getting fired. Don't wait till another team makes a move. If your playing piss poor hockey year after year in the playoffs and your not buzzing in the regular season I'd pull the trigger on Keefe and probably Dubas after Christmas.
@Leafs Digest I agree with everything you say 100%. The defence is garbage, and has been for a very long time. And, William Nylander is a work horse. Also, I agree with you on Auston Matthews. Holl doing his usual pirouette, follwed by a curtsy and pratfall at least once a game. haha … I have never seen an NHL player (especially defenseman) who can't pivot while reversing before. How do they not see this??
Holl has to go. This defense is chasing opponents and there is no accountability. It's hard to blow up this defense because on any given day someone is shitting the bed. Reilly, Brodie, Holl all chasing fires like the fire brigade. Not good enough, no initiative, bottom line not enough blood and guts!
The time to upgrade the defense has passed, it should have been fixed before the season started. Although the team is in win now mode perhaps trading away the future is not the answer. Robertson looks good, and the pantry cannot be bare if Matthews decides to walk once his contract expires. Hindsight is 20:20 and that Tavares contract and captaincy has hog tied this team.

I'm not happy with the result either but wasn't last season worse? Didn't we start 2-5 or something like that. It also took our best players at least 10 games to really get going, I'm not saying we'll make the playoffs. But this is a better start than last season

Apparently they don't like playing hockey on Mondays. Great game on Saturday! And then a sluggish one last night. It just gets frustrating being a fan. But we will just stick with it and hopefully they show up on time on Thursday night
