@Red Wings de Détroit

Pourquoi 3 joueurs ont-ils été repêchés avant Lucas Raymond ? Où sont-ils maintenant?

  1. It's also notable to mention that Lafreniere went over 300 days without playing a single game of organized hockey due to COVID in North America, whereas Lucas and Tim were able to go back to Sweden and play in the SHL and DEL (Stutzle only on the front end of the shutdown, but he also got World Juniors and International Juniors before playing NHL games). Quinton also lost a season, but again was able to play in the 2021 World Juniors prior to the abbreviated 20-21 season starting, while the Rangers didn't allow Lafreniere to take part, even though he was eligible. I think being so cold and immediately being thrown into the NHL restart killed his confidence to the point that he's only just getting it back in 2022. A run in Hartford would have done him wonders, even if they had insisted on him not playing the WJC, just to give him time to get on the ice for a few real games in a less intense environment. Other than that a great objective take on all these kids! Great video!

  2. 0:40 No it really isn't

Lafreniere is by far still the most talented player from the draft, just poor deployment through his first 2 years has affected his production.

Byfield literally broke his leg and missed most of last season. If healthy he probably hits around like 40-50pts.

    Stutzle is better than Raymond.

Really weird video to make 2 years after a draft when the 3 players taken ahead of Raymond project better 🤷‍♂

  3. I’m sorry but this video doesn’t make sense at all lol, lafreniere was picked first because he was insane in juniors with major upside and stutzle is as good, if not better than Raymond lol

  4. Saying that Raymond will be a 40 or 50 goal scorer is PUSHING IT, I could see him as a ppg guy but not 50 goal, 40 to 50 something assists like you seem to think he is.

1: Lafreniere has suffered from bad development and is much worse then Raymond
2: Byfield had a broken ankle and that has cut his NHL games to 40 games so It's a bit to early to say what he will be but Raymond looks better.
3: Stutzle is overrated a bit but he is at least on par if not better then Raymond. The reason I say Stutzle is a bit overrated is the fact he relied on the PP for almost a majority of his points this season with 45% of his points coming on the PP, with only (31/58) of his points coming even strength. All of that together means he is in the 13 PERCNTILE when it comes to EV offence which is absolutely horrendous. Combined that with him being one of the worst defensive liabilities in the league (15th percentile) I think he a little overrated but still on par if not better then Raymond.

  5. I watched every Wings game last year. When Raymond was on he was the best player on the Wings. but the problem was he got pushed around far to often and would disappear. I think a few more years of development and putting on weight he’ll be the best player form the draft.

  6. Byfield has definitely had a rough time, dealing with injuries small/big, but another constant was that he didn't have the best linemates last season. He was often paired with Brown who did give him leadership lessons but was often a very strides behind or couldn't make a crisp pass. Byfield should hopefully be playing with Iafallo this season, if that happens then a tremendous amount of defense pressure can be taken off. He's definitely shown glimpse of beauty with certain plays, once he grows into that 6'5 frame, should be a phenomenal center

  7. Good video but the music is really distracting while you are talking.

  8. Lafreniere will end up being no better than a bottom-middle 6 foward lmao so overhyped it's not even funny. Stutzle should be fantastic. Raymond will be the best from that draft when it's all said and done. Duh.

  9. Lafreniere was hyped because he's ontario french speaking. Byfield is big will take longer to develop. Watch Stutzler do 70 points this year.

  10. I would say this video is premature. You need 5 years from draft to really judge

  11. The only thing really clear so far is how bad Ottawa screwed up taking Sanderson over Jamie Drysdale

  12. shit hes just getting started and will only improve his abilities as the season continues to be bright with the detroit redwings club 🤷‍♂️👍
