Could the Jets be waiting/hoping that with a new coach & systems big Logan finds his way??
Jets org which is reflective of their owner believes in continuity with some incremental changes or improvements. I know it is extremely boring for those that like drama but if you are a Jets fan you need to get used to it.
Heinola produces at NHL even know smaller could be an enstrom type of player in 8 games and 10 games had more points then other defense had in 40-60 or all year.
Vesalainen went to SHL, burmistrov left khl first stint, Telegin khl,Niku wanted out,Nathen Smith to airizona,Copp didn't want out but got to be a number 1/2 center NYC and now go home to detroit as well as play college teamate and friend,Trouba wanting out,evander Kane but we know why,Laine,Roslovic wanted more opportunity. Hopefully samberg or Heinola dont get added
Not to mention players rn on roster can say right things or have videos trying to save PR.
But who knows how scheifele or dubois really feel or Schmidt other players. Schmidt only waved no trade cause stastny.
Wheeler wasn't opposed to moving but his cap with Carolina getting pacoretty for free wasn't going anywhere.
This is why sometimes a rebuild would be good start young draft a new star build around get fans or people interested like when we first drafted Scheifele was off table but playing for hawerchuk. And Laine comparisons to Selanne. Easy always say different looking back or not knowing situations but would have probably been better move like did Ladd. Blake wheeler instead sign older player to 8.2 million and try Laine first line
Get players who want to stay.
I know he makes 10.5 million maybe Toews or Kane want to go elsewhere. I like the Pulijarvi trade for a defenceman or picks here or maybe even throw in a depth guy like Harkens. You can say with Stanley we did a ton more then any other player for him mostly his size and possibilities. Moved up to pick him,put him in AHL his OHL numbers wernt off the charts,debate could have been had when called up was he ready or was there other defense in pool who deserved shot but wernt 1st rnd picks.
Paterson – "The logjam at the blueline is fascinating" . . . another way to say "WTF is going on there???" I'm with you guys here..if Heinola and Samberg go down, I'm really going to be pissed. Seriously pissed off.

The problem is it is Winnipeg and it is the market. Cap is king. The jets are probably willing to trade a vet defender but teams probably want one of the young guys. Cheaper and they know the jets issue with the log jam. They probably have been offered a Dickson from Vancouver and a draft pick for a defence man.
The only surprise to me is that Dubois is still a Jet, I wanted Wheeler to get moved but his contract is untradeable!!
To be fair to Stanley, no one really had a great year besides Kyle Connor. I would be more patient with him.
