Why are we so fucking bad at possessing the puck in OT

  2. Otherwise_Volume2690

I love Kållgren I watched him get a shutout against Dallas last year live. But, as things stand he’s not an NHL regular goalie. Not even as a backup. Unless Matt Murray’s groin heals up and he gets back to his back to back cup winning self Dubas blew the cushiest job any one could ask for and the best core of players most GM’s have the privilege of building a team around since Crosby and Ovi. 0 cups, 0 playoff rounds won and we are RUNNING OUT OF TIME! Matthews might stay or he might leave obviously the team will be a million times better with him but has the last 4 or 5 seasons have shown it’s hard to win a cup even with a top 3 centre (last year he wasn’t 2,3 either). If he leaves we will need a DEEP REBUILD. Like our goalie prospects are C-‘s all around and we don’t have many NHL ready prospects besides Knies and whatever a 21 year old AHLer like Robertson is considered at this point in time. Please Samsonov be ELITE so we can at least find a serviceable backup and make the damn playoffs in the toughest division.

  3. LeafsRealist

I’m not angry, disappointed, depressed or even apathetic.

I’m just calmly disinterested in this team now which I never thought could happen.

  4. MoneyIsntRealGeorge

I am not putting that loss on Willy. We should not even get to that point…

  5. DogUsingKeyboard

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to wake up tomorrow and find out that Keefe is fired.

  6. cujo8400

    My disappointment is immeasurable.

  7. This team needs a shakeup. 6 years of the same effort and bullshit wouldn’t fly in any other market but somehow its OK here

  8. riniwheats_

As good as Tavares has been this year so far, he is simply too slow for 3on3.

  9. goleafsgo13

Don’t make that gamble when your 3rd string goalie is in net, Sandin.

  10. jjwalla

Losses against Habs, Coyotes and Sharks is just plain unacceptable. This team isn’t going to make it to the playoffs if they keep this garbage up.

  11. Did Tavares just get on or something?

  12. TheCarrier89

Getting pretty tired of this season already, this team can’t even beat the bottom feeders. We ain’t accomplishing shit this year.

  13. shouldn’t have even been in OT in games like this so who cares about the last play

  14. Gear4Vegito

Losses to MTL, ARI and SJS.

Three teams in full on tank mode this season.

    Unacceptable.

  15. mattfromjoisey

The leafs have zero desire to win.

  16. Fulller

They’ve now lost to two of the worst teams in the league. Got outshot tonight by the tanking sharks lmao

  17. charliem11

Classic Leaf day all across the NHL!

    Goaltending was good, not great,

Play 40 minutes of good hockey, try to win in OT.

Leafs lose to probably the worst team in the Pacific in a tank year.

Matthews finally looks like he’s starting to heat up, McDavid scores a hat trick.

Top lines start clicking, bottom six can’t put enough in to keep it close.

Mikheyev scores two goals in the first five minutes of two periods.

    Campbell plays pretty bad, wins.

    Bruins win, Habs win.

  18. sookmewet

so turns out a 2 min 5 on 3 wasnt so good for us

  19. mattfromjoisey

Fuck you and I’ll see you Saturday

  20. jmyster1

I think id be fine with moving on from Keefe. This team needs a shake up and I think that’s the change you can make without dramatically changing the line up.

  21. JonJonFTW

Leafs just giving away more points to tanking teams, night after night. Ridiculous.

  22. JustOneInMyLifetime

The only thing that pisses me off more than a loss is having to listen to Anthony Stewart’s stupid ass after a loss

  23. Mrfantastic2

I stayed up until 2:30am for that lol! I probably would’ve been awake anyway but Jesus Christ

  24. hunterbidenslaptop2

Steven Dangle picked a smart career path.

  25. I was told by this sub that the Nylander Tavares Robertson line was good.

Just fucking seperate Matthews and Marner and never play Holl again.

  26. thedudesrug1369

Oilers letting in around 4 goals a game every night and still finding ways to win. Like what the fuck? Where is this scary offense that we are supposed to have? We look like carebares out there.

  27. ElephantShell34

In 3 years the Leafs will be the ones tanking.

  28. No-Play-745

Justin Holl needs to just be scratched

  29. StaticR0ute

Our expectations were low, but HOLY FUCK

  30. Unfortunately if this team doesn’t put it together soon Sheldon is gonna be the fall man. This core is just not it. They have had zero playoff success. Like literally zero success. A regular season team forever. This experiment isn’t working.

  31. Florida is also 4-3-1 and Tampa is 4-4.

  32. Ensuing

I love Rielly but I swear he’s only elite on the PP at or below the dots. I’ve never seen him give one touch passes from the point. Every single time he takes forever to settle the puck and by the time he actually dishes it the PKers have had ample time to recover already.

  33. RestartNick

In 8 games with a combined game time of 484 minutes, the leafs have had the lead for only 67 minutes

  34. DrMansionPHD

Dear Leafs players stop using the spin-o-rama

    Sincerely, Leafs fans

  35. formed2forge

Hmmm… I do prefer when the team I cheer for wins.

Perhaps an early season overreaction is now due…

    Naw! I’m with the ROCK.

    LET’S GO LEAFS! 😛

    😉
