Watching Grubauer in scrimmage on Monday and Tuesday he still definitely has a bunch of rust to kick off. Did not look great and gave up some inaugural season-esque goals. Still playing deep in his net and weak to direct snipes off rushes due to just losing his angle.
It’s just preseason scrimmage of course and Gru has feel his way back into the net but he’s not, in my opinion, coming back with any radical changes or obvious improvements to his goaltending style.
On the other hand I was rather impressed by new organizational acquisition Magnus Hellberg. He’s got incredible gear and a great “jolly giant” attitude combined with a contained, stable goaltending style that utilizes his size to great effect. Could be a valuable asset to the Firebirds and maybe even the Kraken if the opportunity presents.
Sooooo i was listening to a VGK podcast (dont remember which one) and they called you out hardcore. Not by name but said that a podcaster had predicted that Kraken would win before the Knights. I was like 'heyyy my gurl' but then they were very rufe about it 🙁
