Vladdy 😢
Paul Kariya, Joe Sakic, Chris Chelios. There are too many to name them all.
Nicklas Lidstrom. It’s not even that long, but god I miss that man. I ran into Kronwall in Stockholm in 2019 and absolutely loved it, but secretly I spent the rest of the day hoping I’d somehow run into Lidstrom too.
Yvan Cournoyer. He was my favourite player when I was a kid.
Wish I was able to see the prime Modano and Zubov years in Dallas. Didn’t become a fan until more recently, but their influence on the team can still be felt.
Pavel Bure
Sakic’s my all time favorite
Pavel Bure.
Mario Lemieux 💯
I watched the tail end of his career but I would have loved to see him in his prime dominating the ice.
Pavel Bure, Mario Lemieux, Mats Sundin, Sergei Federov.
I never saw him play but as an Islanders fan born after the dynasty years (which is all people talk about) would be Mike Bossy.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing Seregi Federov at his peak one more time.
Mario Lemieux, when he was healthy, he was as good (possibly better) as the great one.
Forseberg was a beast
Lindros
Eric Lindros from my childhood.
Any prior era would have to be Bobby Orr.
Mario was magic on the ice. And for pure intelligence and perfection Lidstrom. Both were basically the perfect hockey players in every sense of the word on and off the ice.
Gordie Howe
Hašek. Without a doubt. He changed how to play the goaltender position forever. Good times.
Shanahan!
Selänne
Eric Lindross before Scott Stevens scrambled his brains.
Lemieux. People laugh but if he didn’t have cancer and other injuries he’d hold the points total. Not Gretzky.
Tim Thomas was a blast to watch
Mark Messier, Adam Graves, Eric Lindros, Jaromire Jagr, Mario Lemieux, The Great One, just to name a few.
It’d be cool to see Kiprusoff in his prime again
Marc Savard
I’d love to see Gretzky in his prime
Rookie Selanne
Surprised no has said Pavel Datsyuk. Definitely my favourite player of all time.
Al Iafrate
I watched Modano in his prime and it was special. Also Forsberg was on a different level as well
Bure for sure
Bobby Orr
Saku. I didn’t appreciate him like a should’ve. The captain of my childhood.
Mario, Wayne, Jaromir.
