It's best for both Muzzin and the team that he stays on LTIR for the remainder of his contract (2 years) and use the money to find a replacement, either through trade or free agency. There are only a handful of teams with a surplus of NHL caliber d-man at this moment. Calgary has Kylington and Carolina has Bear.

Jake Muzzin is an awful player.
Muzzin hurt gives Dubas the room on the cap to bring back both Benn and Lillegren to the roster. Their both conditioning with the marlies now.
Keep Muzzin on LTIR long term buy him out or trade him. Get rid of Holl too. Trade Kerfoot. Bring in Tom Wilson. Call up some D from Marlies. The team won’t make playoffs because they lack scoring, bad D and no solid goaltending. Let Murray walk away or get rid of him
