I genuinely thought the pre bubble years were the growing pain years. This season they should’ve come out like the Bruins. Just full on Joker origin story after repeated first round exits. Instead they play hockey like it’s a chore.
Leafs and Rags are a lot alike only difference is we won a round in the last 20+ years
They are 4-3-1 people gotta relax. Tampa is 4-4, rangers are 3-3-1, colorado is the same record as the leafs at 4-3-1. People gotta relax and just watch the season
Its sure not the Goalies!!!!
Leafs will never be a tough team so they need to improve their PP in order to punish teams. Soft + bad PP is the recipe for getting pushed around in the NHL.
Dubas said a season and a bit ago that he would put his career on the line by not making any major changes. They failed. Yet he's still here. And the changes in the offseason were disastrous and I could see it coming even before the season started. We need a new GM long before the trade deadline, because it's time to dump many of the core, as they have proven that they don't have the ability to fight adversity when they face it. This is not something a coach can fix… they simply just don't mesh.
The reason why we want to do this before the trade deadline is because that is the best time of year to fleece teams, and because our biggest contracts are due for renewal within the next 2 to 3 years, this is the time you will get the most value from those who are going for a cup run.
In return, we can hopefully get a bunch of really good prospects that we can turn into similarly amazing players, and be back into it within a year or two, instead of a full rebuild and being trapped behind nasty contracts.
The sooner we admit to ourselves that Dubas's plan has failed, the sooner we can return to contention. Let's rip the Band-Aid off and make this happen. And if it doesn't happen, Shannahan has to go too.
TO is going to trade their first overall pick for help…
TO will then miss the playoffs.
Bedard will go to the team who receives TOs 1st overall pick.
You heard it here first!
No one cares about the Leafs except Leaf fans.
I’m just a lay man but I feel like the Leafs have a lot of gravy but no meat to put it on
"What if they're unteachable?" I'd like the opportunity to test that. Send Matthews to Boston. ❤
