I dont know if it was swagger or more patience , and not panicking from the physicality and forechecking. I think there was some swagger tho, I think our confidence and swagger will be there game 5. Huge win tonight and in a series that should be 3 to 1 rangers and possibly 2 bounces this could of been a sweep tonight. As good as Carolina is and as aggressive and well coached they dont have the talent we have. Rangers are looking good right now , Need to ride this wave, We finally had a stress free game. Laffy was kinda sandwhiched into the goalie and his leg was taken out by the defender to the right who road him Into ranta. You know your stuff tho subbed and liked !
If I was Gallant I would start game 5 with the lines we had starting game 3. Bring the offense early and continue to get into their head. I would also play the top 3 lines pretty evenly that way the Staal line gets minimized. They can only shut down one line

As a Canes fan, they did not show up to this game. Were flat all around until it was way to late. Anyone who follows this team knows the offense has been a hot mess the last 2 months and I really don't understand why. Unfortunately I truly believe Carolina is missing a natural goal scorer to be a true contender. Personal take, I don't honestly don't think the Canes/Rangers can beat Tampa in a 7 game series the way Tampa is playing right now.
Just like in round 1 the first 2 losses @pittburgh paid the way to win game 6 in Pittsburgh I see rangers winning out in 6 they got the canes frustrated and they can't put more then 2 goals against Igor and rangers defense in the whole series they just got blowout in msg I think rangers win game 5 to close it in game 6 canes are figured out it's over 😂😆
I thought it was going to be canes and lightning but canes are getting worse as the series goes farther. Rangers are getting scary good. Well it looks like it's going to go 7 and give my Bolts some much needed rest.

Ive watched almost every game of mikas career since coming to the rangers, hes gotten better every season and at this point i feel like hes an elite center, the only knock on him is faceoffs. Hes a great skater elite shot great hockey IQ and is a underrated defensively too. I mean the guy scored 5 goals in 1 game. Hes a special player that to me has been very underrated by hockey fans.

Went to the rangers game last night, finally picked a good game. In past seasons went to two playoff games and lost both with around only 15 total shots
Sorry, but Adam Fox has been an up and down trainwreck in his defensive play. Even with his offensive skills, he has been erratic and sloppy.
Love Fox. But this is his first real NHL playoff run, and his inexperience and shaky nerves…have been showing.
But I feel he''ll evolve and become better.
As a Sharks fan, I used to hate Gallant and Reaves. Now that they’re with the Rangers, it’s really hard not to like them!
IMO Brind'amour needs to figure out how to be successful without the home ice matchup advantage. He is so clearly dependent on it, he's becoming a one trick pony.
Home ice, crowd, team travel, hotel stays…. All of these things are what actual playoff hockey is. More of a reason Tampa gets those two fat asterisks.
It looks like the NYR learned a lot from that pens series. They now lead the canes in 5 on 5 xG% in the series so as of now. Igor is back to regular season Igor (I think the pens fans got to him mentally in really his first play off series ever). People forget this NYR team came into this season being like the 3rd or 4th youngest team itl and this is really their first year out of the rebuild. They are learning on the fly(especially all the young kids) and I think that pens series taught them a lot. That’s just my opinion tho.
Canes definitely didn’t play their game but they had a few insane grade a chances that Shestyorkin robbed them on..
I can't agree that Game 3 was a "steal" by Shesterkin. He faced more shots, but the Rangers had at least as many quality chances, and Raanta made as many great saves as Shesterkin. If it was a "steal", they're now 1-1. The Rangers easily could have been up 2 or 3 goals heading into the 3rd in Game 1. SoG can be deceptive. The Hurricanes win most of the faceoffs, which gives them an edge in possession and leads to more shots. The Rangers are notorious for passing when they could shoot. If SoG are even, the Rangers nearly always have had the better chances, and it doesn't matter who they're playing.
