Every lost this season has reminded me of the Montreal series. This team collapses and crumbles in their own zone from just the little bit of forechecking.

  2. oatmealleafer

These games are getting hard to watch. The team is just so unlikable right now. The effort is just atrocious, especially from our stars.

  3. HemiKooks

You have to fire someone and/or trade someone. None of this is acceptable.

  4. noor1717

Well hopefully the battle of Alberta will be entertaining

  5. I’ve never seen Matthews so impactless

  6. BlueLuxin

Team just doesnt look good. Same record as last season at this point. But they seem abysmal this year.

  7. Deluxechin

welp, lets do the same boring ass song and dance tomorrow night

  8. Kinglokner16

Robertson had only 6:32 of ice time…. WHY DOES KEEFE HATE HIM?

  9. AduroPinquis

    Two things:

    1. It you’re in a prime scoring position, hit the fucking net.

    2. Get Justin Holl off this team.

  10. secks_see_guy

This team is so soft man

    How is this possible?

I feel so bad for samsonov, Kampf, and Tavares cuz their realistically the only ones trying

  11. XPhazeX

I wouldnt mind losing if it wasnt so boring to watch

  12. cornflakes_01

Hard to watch. Sure looks like they’ve given up on Sheldon.

  13. SMORKIN_LABBIT

Hate to say it i’m with Dangle. Same team now 6 years in a row, it’s time to make a real move and it’s not the fucking coach this time. This wasn’t a shit game, this was what EVERY playoff team will do to the Leaf’s in round 1 again. There is just isn’t depth for the « it factor » on the effort, and checking in the core.

  14. I just don’t understand why there are never any real changes to the top 6. Why not try marner with JT and Willy with AM? Even to give opposing teams something to think about match-up wise. Always the same shit, even when it’s not working.

    This team SUCKS right now.

    Holl is a nightmare.
Matthews is playing horribly. He’s trying to play hero when the puck is on his stick and turning pucks over left and right.

  16. Significant_News_638

Hard to remember a worse Auston Matthews performance since he joined the team (relative to experience / expectation).

  17. Dergle_McChurgleson

If you’re not sick of this core’s bullshit then you need to check your copium prescription.

Massive changes are needed, no more staying the course with these clowns.

  18. StaticR0ute

#FUCK IT UP HARD FOR CONNOR BEDARD

  19. Pencil_of_Colour

When are we gonna stop treating Rasmus with kid gloves? The guy has been prone to colossal gaffes for so long, even pre-COVID.

Starting to seem like part of his game, not a rookie thing.

  20. SPLICER55

The only word I can use to describe the leafs lately is…. Demoralized. The past two seasons have defeated them. They look purposeless. They aren’t fighting for anything. I don’t have any answers only questions.

  21. Ryan0413

Hey assholes, do you mind trying? Making some sort of attempt at looking like the team you should be?

  22. ATARI2600s

I wish I could hang my hat on Spezza right now.. missing him

  23. butchos

Easiest team in the league to play against. Just sit back and wait for us to make a bad play, it’s guaranteed to happen from anyone on the ice at this point.

  24. WolfieGoBoosh

Yeah I think I need a break from watching this team regularly. It’s ridiculous at this point, there’s maybe a handful of guys that look like they give a shit every night. Everyone else seems to wait until the last few minutes of a game to start playing, and then when they lose, it’s the same post game interviews. It’s « unacceptable » « inexcusable » « we need to put in the effort » yada yada. This team continues to show that they don’t get it, and they don’t care, there is no accountability. I get you don’t have more right shot D options, but Holl should’ve barely seen the ice after those back to back penalties. Guys want to coast on the backcheck, take lazy penalties, make half-ass plays, then they need to sit. It’s embarrassing to watch this team year after year pull the exact same shit, and it’s hard for me to believe there’s enough character in that dressing room for it to change.

  25. Volderon90

This is the outcome of losing all the time. If you win a round in the playoffs it’s something you can take away and maybe be a bit proud of and build off of it. This team can’t build off anything and the same people are around and on the team after every collapse. No room for growth because it’s the same people in the room running it back year after failed year.

That Montreal series should have been the hammer drop. Guys should have been moved out, coaches fired and major changes. But they weren’t and now we have whatever this is. I’m not even mad just indifferent.

  26. FlawedWindmill

Whole team was fucking brutal tonight… they aren’t even trying to win.

Keefe not playing Robertson, who knows why? 6 mins even tho he got 2 goals in his debut? But we’re still playing Justin Holl who is useless and a literal detriment to the team almost every game? Keefe is smoking too much keef.

Matthews literally invisible too. Barely even noticed him.

  27. wiles_CoC

Of all the players that got benched, it was Nicky bobby. I don’t understand.

  28. Otherwise_Volume2690

It’s hard to believe this is the same core of players scrappy, skilled and loveable boys I was extremely proud of for losing to the Capitals in 2017. I’m just drained now. 2017 may have been the height of things at this rate.

  29. pr1mord1alsoup

Did the elite guys elite yet?

  30. Foryourconsideration

« Our elite players didn’t play like elite players.” That sentence is more and more right every game that passes. The players have given up on Keefe.

  31. lianalili

it just bothers me that they look like they don’t care

  32. MitchyMarnman

I hate to say this because I love the guy as a person, but Morgan Rielly is genuinely not good. He’s a born athlete, but his hockey sense is non-existent. When he has the puck skating up the ice, he skates at half his normal speed because he can’t process the game fast enough. Over the last few years, I increasingly believe that his raw tools and his points distract from him being way too easy to stop when it matters. That and he’s bad at defence, which we all knew already
