I understand Lilijgren is injured but Holl is in no way shape or form a Top 4 defender, he may not even be a top 6 defender.
If he didn’t shoot right and was left side he wouldn’t be in the NHL

I'm not going to judge this team after 8 games. It's way too long a season. It took them awhile to hit high gear last year too and then they had a franchise record for points.
Keefe nailed it. They can't break out of their own zone or string 3 passes together, which is REALLY BAD for a puck possession team with top tier forwards.
I agree with you about Holl. He's a below avg 2nd pair or a good 3rd pair. Play him sheltered min on 3rd pair and then PK. Bring up Mete to skate and move pucks until Lilypad comes back. Then Mete and Holl can fight for the 6th spot.
I HATE the narrative around Dubas and Keefe this year. They've made mistakes but have shown all the best signs that they can stick to their strengths and adapt to their weaknesses. Firing either would be a HUGE mistake any team would take either of them, especially Dubas.

Do I like either of the names mentioned? No and no.
We need a stud shutdown defensemen. I don’t know who that could be and it’s tough with a lot of the best D-men coming out of the Atlantic or already playing on cup contenders, but I don’t care if we have to give up Knies or any top prospect IF the price is right. This team is on a clock and it’s running out. This management also needs to give top players a reason to want to stay in Toronto, I.e. Matthews. Sure this fan base hounds the players but this management needs to be able to realize when doing the same things, such as giving Holl too much responsibility, is a losing strategy. Management needs to be willing to show that this team will shake things up and evolve if needed, and the leash can’t be so long this season
I am tired of hearing about F ing Chychrun. Why the heck would the leafs replace Muzzin with a younger Muzzin. They already did that with Maresk and Murrey. How did that go, both tenders injured after 1 game played. Chychrun is as injury prone as Muzzin, no F ing way but thanks.
It's time to stop these shitty usless secondary player moves. It's not working. This core has failed last 5 years and in my eyes have zero F ing improvement. It's time to break up the core for good. This team is top heavy, in players that care more about there bodies and faces for future contracts and being sciolitie icons. Only Taveres goes to the net, Hyman was a force in front of the net, Bunting at first now guttless like the rest.
Leafs need 15 to 20 mill to sure up the defence and tending. The leafs have enough upfront talent on the team and in the prospect pool.
Enough is enough of this ring around the rosie fringe player trades and scraps no other team wants. A major major change is needed. Two of the 7 mill plus wonders has to go in the next two seasons.

As a 61 year old Leafs fan who has watched almost every Leafs game I want to finally watch the Leafs win the Stanley Cup 🍶 and this team has a zero chance of winning the Stanley Cup 🍶.
Blow up this Leafs team for a boat load of draft picks and start a quick rebuild.
In one year the Leafs prospect pool will be one of the weakest in the league.
Imo Matthews will leave in his prime with no compensation and the Leafs should not let that happen.
Make major changes or this will be another short WASTED season.

The Leafs as a player are sending a clear message. They aren't playing for Keef and buying in to anything he is saying, they know it's not working or never will. The reason for them loosing is teams no how to beat them. It's obvious. They are not balanced and have not changed anything to make teams have to play them differently for the last four years. They are small offensively with no one to play inside infront of the net, that is strong and big with skill that scores alot . But mainly forces the defense men to stay in side opening more space for passing lanes and shots from your goal scorers.

Watching Holl is like watching a bunch of NHL'ers letting their buddy from road hockey come and play with them! Holl was done 3 seasons ago not even a miner leaguer! And Muzzin is done time to move on from that thought! They need two top 4 defenseman! And if another NHL team trades for Holl I have a hard time believing some other team thinks he belongs in the NHL
