    I hope Gudreu enjoys it in Columbus. He could’ve been on this young talented devils team or an islanders team that can easily contend for a cup for the next few years. Oh well I hope Columbus finishes last for the next 7 years

    CBJ fan here. Jonny doesn't fit our offense from last year? Maybe, but it sucked last year. Why wouldn't we want to start changing it?
    We had no drive in this game at any point. Devils owned all three zones, owned practically every stat-line. Elvis was broken after 4 and should have been pulled. I'm upset that he was left in.

    Yeah this CBJ fan has been holding off on calling for a coaching change… until now 🤦🏼‍♂️ This is just bad and hard to watch after the Reds crappy season.
    At least there’s Buckeye football 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Absolute domination by the Devils the past few games. They're averaging the most shots per game in the league at the moment, while also mitigating scoring opportunities from the opposition at an elite level. Time will tell if this production is for real; they have a tough November ahead and missing Palat for a stretch could hurt. But, if Zetturland keeps up the pace in his absence, the Devils could be fine without him for a short while.

    The goaltending needs to keep up the pace, and Vanecek should continue to be their 1A. Though Blackwood has shown signs of above average goaltending, he's the goaltender who has been prone to blowups. It's Vanecek's net to lose right now.

    I disagree about the Johnny Columbus assessment in that there hasn't been enough time to definitively make that statement.
    They're a young team.
    The only thing I see them needing for sure is a physical presence down the middle. I don't care if he's a top center. I want to see a BIG center.

    The CBJ org has no idea what they are doing, sign skill but have a coach that wants tough guys. Want good defense then give Gudbransson 4 mil to get caved in. This falls squarely on Jarmo setting this team up to fail. My guess Larsen is gone after Finland then Jarmo is fired after the season. Then a GM and new coach get either Fantilli or Bedard to play with.

    I was there in person. When I tell you it wasn’t even close… I’m not kidding. Devils won in an absolutely dominant and almost disrespectful fashion especially with the Wood goal 😂

    I know it's going worse than expected but about 80%,of people didn't expect them to make the playoffs. Most said we're still a couple years away. Still one of the youngest teams in the league and that's with Voracek and Nyquist bumping that stat up. Honestly I'd rather be complete shit this year and get a great draft pick rather than barely missing the playoffs and pick 15th. Fans also need a reality check about Jiricek. He's still a year or two away and needs to be in the AHL. He's really not helping the situation at all. He does have s very nice shot though. Still need a #1 center and #1 RHD really really bad. Like really bad.

    CBJ..list quite a few forwards..and specifically centers.. plenty of offensive options. Kent Johnson looks like a very creative player and would be a good one to pair with Gaudreau. Boone Jenner center a second line. A coaching change could definitely benefit this young team..there is plenty to work with..but need a coach with more vision and structure to compensate for lack of defensive depth..still have Werenski back there.

    I'm not a Jackets fan, but I miss those times when they were a respectable team with some cup chances

    Fun stat: Out of 6 times the Jackets made playoffs, 5 (3) times they lost to eventual cup finalists (champions). The only exception is 2014 Pens who were Lundqvist'd

    Although Elvis would want atleast 2 goals back, I cannot see CBJ winning with that kind of effort. Honestly, Elvis was thrown under the tank, even the 2nd and 3rd goals were off terrible turnivers by CBJ. If it wasn’t for Elvis the score could have been way worse. CBJ has looked awful in the past few games and the goalies are unfortunately taking all the blame.

    I had concerns about Columbus's defense and goaltending coming into this year but I didn't expect this… so… do they fire Larson already?

    I had to turn it off, this Columbus team feels very similar to I think 2014 or whenever we started 0-8 after getting a playoff berth and playing well against Pittsburgh. Don't know what's going on!

    Not pulling Merzlikins after the 4th (or 3rd) is incredible. It's a sign the coach doesn't respect the goalie and isn't holding skaters to account within regulation. I'm a neutral fan but found this deeply offensive by Larsen. CBJ fans are right to be angry

    Pre season THG power rankings Columbus 18 New Jersey 24. Nine games into the season and the Devils are leading the Metropolitan division and are second in the Conference. It's early I know but I told you all that this was the year NJ makes the list makers look bad.
