I think this is really good for Ethan Bear and the Canucks. Maybe Bear helps with injuries on the backend, and maybe a good opportunity for a kid that didn't settle into Carolina (also have heard a lot of people saying Bear really liked this team and wanted to be a part of it for while idk how valid that is though). Not super concerned about a late draft pick going out as long as Bear is serviceable.

Canes fan. I sincerely liked Bear and wish him the best. He looked good early but Covid did a number on him and he never seemed to be the same after, which made it that much harder to break back into the lineup. Hoping a change of scenery helps him.

Bear makes more turnovers then a bakery
I dislike both the oilers and the canucks. I loved it when Bear played for the oilers 'cause his defensive play was horrible. While I would rather that Bear continued to play for the oilers, I'm happy to see him with the canucks as well.

For the Canucks, the timing is great and he will help out a lot. But for Bear, this is his moment to shine. He needs to go from a jog, to full stride sprint in his career. He will get big time right away, and if he impresses, he will get the attention of all NHL teams. IDK if he is as good as people say he potentially is, but the stage is set for him now. Fingers crossed.
