  1. Love your work, Stephen. After last night’s game—Marner’s tantrum, and Keefe inhabilité to keep him benched (especially after the tantrum), I’m convinced Marner’s the guy that needs to be traded.

It’s too late now, but a trade like what Calgary pulled off this summer is what was needed.

Marner should have allowed his benching to serve as an example to the rest of the team—that anybody can ride the line if they don’t keep it simple and smart. Instead, he showed the team how selfish and childish he still is.

  2. We all have our own opinions. This team needs new people at the front office. We’ll start with that. Work our way down to the coach (Sheldon Keefe) I be looking to ship one of the top guys for some picks

  3. Fire the coach, why? Trade kerfoot and holl.. what's that gunna do. It's been the same shit talked about for years. 5.5 mil in cap space isn't gunna do anything for this team. 7 year's into it. Not 10 games. 7 year's. Time to switch it up. And by switch it up I mean adios marner and Nylander

  4. Let’s be realistic here, a team with Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares is going to make the playoffs. However looking at the lineup last night, this is once again not a team built to win playoff hockey.

This team has very few heart and soul guys. Instead of players like Barclay Goodrow and Blake Coleman, we have players like Pierre Engvall and Alex Kerfoot. Softest team in the league by a mile and it shows night in and night out.

  5. The top two lines need to have mindset purpose. Put Engvall-Mathews-Jarnkrok on the first line and let them focus on the forecheck role to wear down the D, Nylander-Tavares-Marner on the second line to score

  6. Here is my biggest problem, tickets are expensive, people save for months to go see a game, and the apparent effort level of our "elite" players is sub par. I really would love to ask Matthews, Marner etc, if they feel good about taking a couple weeks salary from people then just not showing up or caring at all.

  7. Just put Holl on waivers for contract termination. Marner and Matthews will figure it out. Teams have a complete book on them now so they'll just have to add to their games. Can we get some protection for our top players, though? So that we can get a bit younger by getting Simmonds out of the lineup? I love the Wayne Train, but we need that package in a younger player.

  8. I have refused to watch the Leafs this yr because again, everything that's happening is entirely predictable. 2 yrs ago, Shanahan should have been fired. Last yr Shanahan should have been fired. People keep looking at the players, the coach, and GM – they are missing the obvious – it's ALL on Shanahan – he has enabled the GM to not fix a mixture of players that shouldn't be together. It's so F-ing obvious yet Shanahan is still employed – insanity

  9. What's wrong is the setup for the entire season. They did a tryout camp instead of a preseason training camp. They have been doing this for a few years. The core didn't play and practice like a winning team until game one. Now they have completed 10 games they are ready. I expect at least 5 games without a loss. No worries, the players will overcome the management mistakes. Players and coach are fine. Bye bye management.

  10. You are bang on 100%. Keefe has to cool down & let the Pros turn it around. Coach has 2 guys upstairs worried about their jobs, tell them to stay behind their desks. Why is everyone worried, this is only the start of the season, time to be ready for playoffs. Lot of injuries doesn't help the team line ups but when 100% healthy will prove who they are. Just be POSITIVE. Mistakes happen & learn from it. Not worried, finish in top 5 of the league.

  11. The D is brutal, and I don’t care about the points 11m for Marner is terrible! He’s not a leader and doesn’t score.
