Slaf had looked better than Wright so far and has been given better opportunities and I’ve time as a result, but he’s also built like a tank, so being pushed around because he’s young and inexperienced hasn’t been nearly as much of an issue.
It’ll be hard to truly evaluate this decision for a few more years, but given the plethora of talent at center in the upcoming draft, I don’t think the center versus winger argument matters much in the debate.
All in all I’m very satisfied with Slavkovsky so far, given that he’s still a long way from reaching his potential.
