    As a Stars fan this makes me extremely happy that Otter is sticking around, but yeah I'm definitely worried about Robertson getting his deal done.

    I really believe Otts is worth this and I might be totally wrong because nobody can really predict,
    But I feel this young man is going to be mentioned with the likes of Hasek and Fluery.

    Otter’s playoff performance reminds me of what Marty Turco could never really do… He was always so dominant in the regular season but fell apart in the playoffs and I never really understood why.

    In recent years I’ve seen Horvat, Boeser, Pettersson and Hughes take allllllll summer long to sign their contracts. It sucks. You really start to worry about them not starting the season. Hopefully Dallas gets Robertson signed asap! They need him!

    At the time I didn’t understand the Holtby contract. There was no reason for him to start the season in the AHL, he earned an NHL spot the year before. As for going forward I can’t see this contract being any issue, he’s been solid back to back years and he’s only going to keep progressing

    That Tage Thompson contract did not do the Stars (or any other team) a favor with Robertson. Robertson's contract should start with a nine.

    Wow Otter a legit goalie with upside gets 4M while CAl Petersen on Kings who can't even get .900 save percentage is getting 5M for 15M? Guy had 65 saves in the loss to CAlgary so its like really good deal for his upside. Any team could have easily got him to an offer sheet that would have been more. The real question is how much will Robertsen or how spell guy name will get now? I wish Dallas Stars GM was LA to not be paying 11M for two mediocre goalies hehe. I can't wait to see if Third Time is The Charm for Deboer taking team to SCF in Debut Season. I'm shocked he managed to get Dobson kinda money. The days of paying scrubs like Eichel 10M a year for nothing seem to have ended hopefully. Drew/Karrlsson 22M wasted CAp hit :).

    Glad to have Otter signed but begs the question… So who is Dallas trading to keep Robo? Or who is rushing to offer sheet Robo ASAP

    Finally!!! Now yeah sign Robo. I like the Otter deal…short term and a little of a prove it deal. I was worried he was going to get the Biddy deal in StL

    It would be fascinating to see a team offer sheet Robertson in the 7 to 8 million dollar range.

    From what I've seen of Jake Oettinger, mostly playoffs but some regular season, I'm actually surprised it's not more in the 5-5.5 range. Salaries are still through the roof despite the flat cap and that's probably one of the reasons why there are still some decent UFAs out there who would have been signed quickly even as recently as 2019. Obviously guys aren't willing to take 1 year deals for less money and wait it out until the cap goes up – at least not yet. As it gets closer to the regular season, I think we'll see players start to cave on their demands and teams will have a better sense of where they're at cap wise at that point. We may end up seeing players who would just get signed to 2 year deals ending up on PTOs.

    As a Flames fan I watched Otter almost steal the series for Dallas . Don't get me wrong , I'm not saying that the rest of the team didn't play good , but Otter was far and away the best player .

    Roope Hintz contract next summer will be hard to do because the horrible cap space situation. What are they doing then? It gets easy if Pavelskis performance drops and decides to retire, 5,5M cap space there.

    I wasn't stressed until the owner straight up said youngsters wanna get paid too soon. As the team is negotiating with Robertson. Maybe let your GM do his job before you shoot your mouth?
