Useless money spent I think every fan in the world would happily trade the pre-game and in game extra production to just enjoy seeing a good hockey team play to win. I get that the team may feel these contribute to arena atmosphere but Rogers Arena is literally a library. I think these actually distract people from the game instead of improving the experience.
These mini movie/hype vids are pretty cheesey to me. That Lord of the rings meets StarWars thing last year was just cringe.
Would be fine if they just stuck with varying player highlights. Why not show them gearing up or getting angry. Some good old on-ice action.
…Instead we are going to get some bad acting and game face stares.
Guess the kids love it, at least.
