First four-game win streak since October 6-18, 2018.
Honestly the devils didn’t look as great a lot of this game. And we still out shot them 37-22 and scored 5.
Happy we had this game to get our west coast legs under us. Next three games are going to be some doozys, but I think we have it in us to really get some points out of this.

Did anyone else feel like the refs were trying to even the game here? I think 3/5 penalties were legit but. If we do that against Edmonton, we going to lose big

Really glad to start this road trip with two points. Didn’t really love how the team played tonight, but finding a way to win in games like that is a big step for this team. And thrilled with Blackwood’s game. Second goal wasn’t ideal, but he had a lot of really nice saves the first two periods. If we can get to a place where either goalie can play without soft goals being expected (and we’re getting there!), that’s gonna be just such a big boost to the team mentally.

Not the best game they played this year but they still played good enough to get the win and looked dominate at times.
Nice to get points on the western Canada trip because they always struggle on it.
Nico finished the game so hopefully that means he’s fine.
Defense played sound in the 3rd and mac came up big when they needed him. Good to have a both goalies able to step in and win.
So fucking happy this team is finally winning. They look legit and we’ve waited so long for this one guys.
This was a good one to stay up for glad we can celebrate!

Bratt and Nico are scoring at over a PPG, Jack is at exactly a PPG with tonights win. Safe to call them our big three? The best part is that you could argue Jack is having *a slow start* this year, when he really hits his stride its over for this league. They won the most winnable game on this trip, now just give me one more point vs either of Edmonton or Calgary and I’m happy, another win and I’m doing fuckin cartwheels in front of the Rock.
The boys won despite clearly not having their A-game. Still potted 5 at that.

Devils are impressive. Must be annoying to play against – defensively, they absolutely hound whoever is on the puck. And when in the offensive zone they tend to be good at puck retention too.
Some pretty hockey lately
The Devils were clearly jet lagged pretty hard this game and made a lot of mistakes, but they still came out with a win, and the advantage in shots. It also helps that the Canucks are a dumpster fire of a team. However the real battle is up next with how good the Oilers and Flames are playing, so hopefully the jet lag is gone by then.

I love winning. Let us never take for granted these good times, where even a B level effort from the lads still results in the Devils handily outshooting the other team and putting up 5 goals.

Looking at the standings and still seeing so little separation makes the goaltending blowups in the losses still sting a lot. I’m not going to get over those until we’re in the clear.

It’s hard to look good when you have to kill off 5 BS powerplays , it’s even worse when they are jet lagged and get 0 calls themselves

I have friends with kids in school five days a week who weren’t alive the last time they won four straight.
Some positives to take away:
– No even strength goals against
– MB29 played a strong game
– Scored a shorty and PK looked dangerous, let up one 6v4 but you live with those.
– BMW line was immense, probably the best line tonight
– outshot them by 14
– won majority of the face offs
– Bratt continues the streak
– powerplay looks good and converts again
Tough win, devils did a lot right and certainly deserved it. Onto the next
Bratt got very little ice time tonight especially in the third. Probably mostly due to all the penalties, but still we need more Bratt attack.
A little sloppy but you can’t expect every game to be pretty. The next two are super important in my opinion. If we win one of the two people will have to take our team seriously and can’t just say, “bUt ThEy HaD aN eAsY sChEdUlE.”
I just… I love Nico so goddamn much. Jack’s our golden boy, JBITBPITNHL, but Nico is special. It feels like he’s continued that offensive growth we saw at the end of last year, still plays a total shutdown game, and he’s fully embodying the captain’s role. It’s so exciting to see.
I’m having fun.
It’s really important to win these long road trips and I’m happy with them on being able to travel and still hold a strong lead even if it wasn’t the best game. These next couple games is what’s gonna sell me on whether they’re the real deal or not.

I have to say, it’s really nice lately to just watch games and enjoy some damn good hockey and it happens to be our lads doing it. Feels good to see how well they are playing now and this team hasn’t even scratched the surface they are really young and hungry. LGD!
