Rosehill played with more heart than most, if not all of this current team. With all due respect to Rosehill (Thanks for your contribution and heart given to the Leafs), but given the Leafs lineup, that's a bad thing.
You can’t just change the coach, you must also change the GM(because He made the culture) because you still end up with shitty 3rd and 4th lines, not to mention a D like Holl. The measuring stick has always been the 20 game mark, well what happens in the next 10 then with worse D than they had last season. Dubas had a potential good Power Forward in Marchment but he traded him for Dennis “Don’t Call Me Gino” Malgin who was later waived then back from the Swiss Chocolate league. Meanwhile Marchments in Dallas with 4yrs @ $18 mill. Why Dubas didn’t like Marchment? 6’+/200lbs+. Malgin? 5’9”. Again, as for Trotz? Why the hell would he want to coach the team that Dubas built?

I would honestly trade marner. he's too fragile mentally. we saw it v the canadians in the playoffs. I would pick up a top D-man on the right. that knocks holl off the team. it moves nylander up and gives JT, who, on the right? Someone who can dig pucks out of the corner and feed jt.
Dubas' skills based philosophy lost us the first round 5 years in a row.
he let far too many players who could contribute go.

I'm fine with Trotz, but we can't stop there. It's time to blow up the management team, then do something to the flawed core of the team. They need a heart transplant.
The problem with the Leafs is the same it has always been; all the talent in the world with zero heart. The Leafs are a roster full of divas with no leadership. Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares are acting like a bunch of crybabies instead of being the leaders they’re paid to be. Until Toronto can get some solid leadership in the locker room, and start playing with heart, no coaching change, no GM change is going to fix anything.
Toronto would ruin Trotz… yet I hope Keefe is fired and hire Trotz. I could see him saying HELL no.
