  1. Yeah to get real change for this team the team has to lose in order to get the message across to management and/or ownership.

  2. The Canucks should not ! trade Bo Horvat !!! Put him on a line without J.T. Miller for 10 games. Bo Horvat should get a contact of 5yrs and 6.75mill. Vancouver should think here before they make a mistake. They need 2 defensive wingers with him that will come late in the play.

  3. I'd try and trade Bo for Chykrun if possible, the nucks need some help on D, its just too bad they cant get rid of the OEL contract tho…

  4. bo would have a place on a playoff bound team. a powerplay specialist who could anchor a 3rd line even strength. i don't think he's worth much more than his current contract which is 5.5 i believe. i'd love to see JR move bo, garland (who stunk up the ice last night), boeser, miller, meyers. just blow it up. have like 20 picks in the next 2 drafts, 4 of them 1st rounders.

  5. It's probably coming across Aquilini mind now for not listening to Linden nor the fans to fire Benning way b4 last season even started, it seems like almost back to square one sometimes all over again OEL and Miller isn't gonna get any younger down the road , It's Aquilini fault that the attendance in the area is down for such a very long time after all these years.

  6. Keep bo. Buyout oel. Trade borser and jt. Bench myers. Free jack. That’s my ideal world.

  7. The problem is that almost all of these contracts are untradeable. And if they are, you're not getting anything back at best – at worst, you're giving up high draft picks. There's no easy way out of this. No use trading a 1st to 86 a contract to free up space if tanking just gives someone else a high draft pick. We don't benefit at all. A rebuild isn't that simple anymore because while the cap has stayed flat, salaries have continued to increase steadily and the vast majority are up against it, and the teams with cap space aren't taking on big contracts except for a price.

  8. 5 years and 6.5 million should be the next contract for Horvat. He’s worth every penny, over 50% in faceoffs, and does a little bit of everything. Also Bo is scoring at a 50 goal pace (which is insane). I also want the Canucks to play Rathbone more, every game he has played he looks amazing, and should be quarterbacking the 2nd PP unit instead of OEL.

  9. I did not watch a single minute but read the thumbnail and felt that I needed to make a comment, yeah the Bedard sweepstakes has a price…

  10. Trade him while his value is inflated, now that would be a first for canucjs, trading a player when they should

  11. 7:45 not just now – if only they lost more *last season*… the main reason there weren’t big moves last off season was bc they were close actually making the playoffs. It’s hard to tear things down if people around the team are like, “well they were just a few points out of the playoffs.” If they were flat out terrible I don’t think the Miller contract would have happened… perhaps not the Boeser one either.

Didn’t expect Bo to be tied for 3rd in the NHL in goals… I’d like him to stay but he’s probably one of the easier players to trade rn :/

  12. Although I wish to keep Bo and resigned him rather than resigning Miller in the summer, there is zero chance this will happen because we already signed Miller. Unless we can unload Miller or OEL, there's no chance we're resigning Bo due to too many bad contracts on this team.

We need an actual rebuild and not any more retools that makes this team a perpetual mediocre team.. Can probably get something really good for Bo before he walks for nothing.

  13. The teamm and the moves look too similar. The on ice production is about the same too. So this is the owners pulling the strings and this new management are the puppets. We the audience are the suckers

  14. Should have watched the game, then you could make an informed opinion of it. That said that was a game where the "Canucks have a shitty defense" camp would have been appropriate commentary. Sadly the three top D-man were really bad and Hughes has continued his turnover machine status thus far this year. The truth is the three two on one's that resulted in goals for the Devils, were the same old same old, they don't support the puck in all three zones. Very tiring, and always leads to the defenseman to make an even worse play. I would like to see some accountability on both fronts. The defenseman should do their job and stop trying to bail out their team mates' brutal play by like, blocking the pass across and be available for the rebound if one should arise, rather than doing the snow angel defensive maneuver that rarely works and pretty much leaves your goal tender to the slaughter. You can't make up for one of your fellow team mates mistakes, all you can do is try to keep from making another one. That is reality. On a positive note if you watched the game you would have witnessed Milsy's two brilliant passes to Bo for the goals. Milsy is one sic play maker and Bo is one fine trigger man. Bear played an intelligent game especially for the first one of the season. I was a bit worried about Demko but he played good, so that is 2 out of the last 3 games he has been good.

  15. The line on Anaheim to win is so good I threw 100 bucks on Anaheim to win lol, the same thing with New Jersey v. Edmonton.
