Seals became the Barons. Barons merged into the North Stars. North Stars were dissolved and split in a two team expansion draft forming the Sharks and the Dallas Stars. So they're kinda sorta part of the franchise. Great Uncle of the Sharks or something.
In 1974 the team was known as the California golden seals. Crazy George was a team cheerleader and would go around the Coliseum Arena banging on his drum.
Seafoam teal paints is what I would expect. Classic look, plus the Sharks are playing about as bad as the Seals. Fitting they'll wear these this year.

Seals teal I believe it was known as Pacific Blue. Looks similar to the original teal for the Sharks
