Depth will be sufficient to overcome loss of Palat. Not concerned.
Stayed up late for the Vancouver game, have not bothered staying up for west coast games in years. After the first two games thought the season was another flop, glad to be wrong. If the Devils continue the great team play they should be able to withstand the loss of any player. The only part of the team that concerns me is the goal tending.
It would suck for Palat to be out until about March but it is what it is. Hopefully the Devils can keep this high level of play going. I don't think Zetterlund is a 1st liner but I like the way he's been playing with Nico as far as what he provides. Would love to see Holtz get some playing time but feel he needs to go back to Utica for one more season. It has been great seeing the Devils are getting talked about positively and not for being bad. It hasn't quite settled in if I am being honest. Tonight will be a real test against Edmonton.
Team is playing great, better then I expected. I’m gonna say Palat is out until February which puts him in the middle of your projections. You mentioned Thompson, I would like to see he or Clarke play over Boqvist, nothing against Boqvist but I feel like we know what he is and what he brings. Johnsson is back up so maybe he gets a chance before anyone else. Holtz? Probably should let him play in Utica.
