Thank you for a reasonable reaction to Trouba's hits. Too many bad reactions on twitter. After getting absolutely abused by Washington a couple years ago, the Rangers physicality was a joke. They made it a point of emphasis, hence Reaves, and now people (mainly Pens fans) want less hitting allowed in the NHL. Also, glad we. could help the Jets out with that 1st rounder. the whole "elite" argument is about as stupid as the "goat" argument. It's an opinion. There's no stat for elite. That said, yeah, Mika is elite. 😉 As far as Trouba goes, he's an immense player. Not sure what you mean by "ny style" hockey. I'm a life-long Ranger fan and they have never really had physically imposing teams. This team is different. They have a lot of weapons: Goaltending, size, speed, several terrific defensemen, and numerous top scoring forwards. And lets give credit to the coach. Gallant will sit you if you play soft. Your POV on the Carolina's achilles heels are spot on. Rangers won the regular season series against Tampa. Tampa should be very concerned.

What a game!! Me and my dad were talking about what the rangers needed to do to win like a half hour before the game started.
1. They needed to score first
2. They needed to score on their pp oppurtunities
3. They needed to get very physical, something we didn’t see in the previous 3 games in carolina
4. We needed a big night from kreider
5. We need a world class performance from igor
Every one of the things we said happened, it was like a dream come true😂 it was about as perfect a game the rangers could have played in my book. On to shesterkin vs. vasilevskiy, that storyline just feels like it was destined to happen🗽🗽🗽
when i looked at mika's numbers around game 5 i was like wow. and since he's unmissable, he's been awesome. just like i thought he'd be around now!
what's really amazing is to think that all this took place the season after the entire team including front office was wrecked by the one-man troll squad that is wilson.

I am not sure if the Rangers are ready for this, as a group, but I could be wrong. I hope they win, but they are going to be a very good team for many years to come, and so are the Canes, both groups are great young teams.
