Love it when big hits like this occur once of the playoffs start. None of the game stoppage afterwords, just continued hard play because no one feels the need to ‘defend’ their teammates and cost themselves a penalty. They want to win.
Okay so I normally argue against the people who hate fights after clean hits (because I feel like the nhl lacks fights) but good lord was that ever clean. Greer had no reason to go ask for that fight. Glad we got to see some knucks thrown but that was so clean that no fight should have errupted for Schneider

I’m a NY fan, so you can call me biased but why have we got to the point where every clean hit ends up in a fight? Schneider lays a beautiful check on the B’s guy and then 2 players to after him… don’t get me wrong it’s good to see teammates sticking up for each other but come on! Players seems to have either gone soft or have massively over-inflated egos and can’t handle getting hit these days.

START CALLING retaliatory and aggressor penalties. A player who is deemed to be both the instigator and aggressor of an altercation shall be assessed an instigating minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting, a ten-minute misconduct (instigator) and a game misconduct penalty (aggressor).
