Absolutely. Heinola should have been in the line-up ladt year and this year. He’s ready and looks good, idk why tf they don’t play him
Gotta trade Schmidt to get Ville in the lineup, might hurt the locker room if that happens though. Also I like Schmidt just think Ville could fill his role on the team and begin to grow as a player.
Ville needs new scenary. I do believe he can be an NHL defensemen in the near future.
This is probably the worst way he could’ve gone about this. Chevy won’t be bullied by agents or disgruntled (if you can even call it that) players as he’s shown in the past: Trouba, Kane, Roslovic, etc…
The most likely way this plays out is that we trade one of our LHD or somehow move Schmidt for a middle 6 forward which will free a spot up for Ville at some point this year. He’s only 21 and his agent is acting like we are burying a 25 year old elite defenseman in the minors.
Perhaps he should consider playing better to the point where they have no choice to play him?
Our defence core is already small. We have enough puck moving guys. We need guys that can move people from in front of the net. Trade the kid if he’s not in our plans. If we get rid in Dillon we lose, arguably, the only person who is tough enough to move big men from in front of the net. It would be easy to play against the Wpg D. Dump the puck and hammer the Wpg D.
