This isn’t the first time he’s said it and yet we still have idiotic hot takes from around the hockey journalism world.

As long as Shane is actually on board with how things are going that’s good enough for me
Between the ahl clause and world juniors I’m hoping he gets some big minutes in a more competitive environment than the chl can give him. Shane we all want you to succeed and be happy we picked you ❤️

I love how pundits have acted like Francis didn’t discuss this plan with Wright first and got everyone on the same page

Of course this is where he wants to be. He’s playing in the fucking NHL! Even a 5-7 minute night in the NHL is better than 20-25 minutes in any other league.

A few takeaways:
Wright (and his camp) sounds like he’s on board with the development path, even if it’s frustrating being scratched.
Wright says he’s learning and developing his game in practice and through critique of the details of his play in his own zone and with the puck.
Kingston has had no indication **to this point** that Wright will be returning.
The Kraken hear the noise from the outside but are maintaining good top to bottom, two way communication internally from Francis all the way down to Wright about how things are going.
Wright is moving out of his hotel, into Donato’s house.
The other players on the team went through similar struggles off the bat and are being supportive of Wright, telling him about their journeys, helping him on his path.

I’m glad articles like this are being published to dispell some of the overreaction.
