Since the end of the playoffs, news surrounding the B's has been on a downward tip (except festivities surrounding the Rask wedding). Not today. Yeah, this is a bit of a short term fix but I'm embracing this news for what it is; a welcome and much-needed infusion of talent. With regards to Krejci and Zacha, it's an upgrade. That all-world Bergeron is returning can't help but further solidify the forward ranks. Beyond this year is a question mark. Some youngsters have to grab whatever opportunity given to them and make the most of it. Show their stuff to coaches and management regarding their impact and future with this franchise .

  2. Over the weekend I heard they had ironed out Pasta's long-term contract – hockey news went dead for a couple of days

so Monday morning the first thing I looked for? Was Bergie & Krejci's announcements- here it is!

So they must have foglino or somebody on the trading block.. I'm hoping it's foglino over anybody else

This isn't done – there's more to come. I'm hoping we're switching out foglino for Lucic.

Flames have Milan on the trading block & Flames general manager was talking about eating some of his $6 mil salary, he stated they'd be interested in trading him to Bruins if Boston "sweetens the deal"

I think Torey Krug might be on the sidelines in trade talks.. the Blues need to dump that over bloated contract. ( I've heard Blues fans complaining about their squandering their cup success on over bloated contracts. I dunno )

Lucic, Torey Krug? – I want grit back. If we can get it at a loyalty discount? Take it!

Or we're going to have McAvoy and Lindholme injured, along with Brad Marchand suspended trying to keep it up.

  3. The Bruins are now older and slower (things they cannot afford to be).

  4. I'd go with Debrusk, Bergy, Hall
    Pasta, Kretch, zacha
The Chezch line. Than mix up the PP with Debrusk, Kretch, Hall
    Pasta Bergy Zacha or Coyle.

  5. It's a good place for the Bruins, I'm expecting them to be in the final 16. Once your in, anything is possible and it should be an exciting time in the Garden. Good luck Bruins.

  6. This signature of Bergy was self-evident. It rewards an excellent player, loyal to an organization, a model captain and despite his advanced age, a very good 2021-22 season. That a player of his quality is back can only delight the other players on the team. However, signing David Krejci is tantamount to an inexplicable cry of despair. Krejci had no leg when he left, he has even less today. He has become even slower and as soon as spring arrives, there will be no gas left in the tank. This signing doesn't make sense… just like the rumored return of Milan Lucic who has become a turtle, no longer scores a goal, only really pushes around occasionally and takes totally silly penalties that put his team in trouble.

We shouldn't be surprised that after the return of Krejci and Lucic (?), the famous dynamic duo Neely-Sweeney announces to us that they have approached Bobby Orr so that he comes out of retirement and comes to give to the defensive brigade from the raise punch!

    Distressing.
[NB: On the other hand, the signing of Pavel Zacha is excellent news. Finally, a giant format center who has good hands and excellent skating.]

  7. Good points on Debrusk. Also feel that the early season hockey is a great motivator for the AHL call ups to prove their worth .

  8. Are we entering a rebuild after this? Find it odd Zacha only one year. He has lots of upside. I get Kretch and Bergy do a one year basis type thing. But a 25 year old Zacha you'd think they go for atleast a 3year deal. If he does well, now your going Into next Summer trying to resign him longer and more money. Also Swayman and Pasta. Unless they extend Pasta than take a look at Zacha mid season.
