I love the the Ethan Bear offer sheet addition. Marty , how can you say there's no room for Ilya Mikheylev when Eakin Hinostroza and Hayden are all UFA? Yes Quinn and Peterka are expected to start the year in Buffalo but if Krebs moves to centre full time( Thompson Cozens and Middelstadt the other centres ) then that means there's an opening on the left wing for Mikheylev. Trade or waive Asplund and Bjork who have been major disappointments and bring back Hinostroza .
If Buffalo is interested in improving then it's a no brainer to cut players like Bjork and bring in a winger with speed and size like Ilya Mikheylev

Trocheck and Crouse are the 2 players this team needs. A good faceoff top 6 center and Lawson Crouse who's a big Power forward who can bounce around the 2nd and 3rd lines
Do not trade any 1st rounders. Every time we’ve done it it has backfired. We can sign a RD in the free agency. Dahlin can play RD as well.
Keep the first round picks and make the selections. What happens with the 2nd rounders and later I'm all ears. I still think Buffalo needs to get a good power forward and a goalie.

Nobody wanted you Matt Murray in Buffalo anyway so no offense taken. Besides you’ve been irrelevant statistically for the last 3yrs. IMO, Craig Anderson is a very likable man & adds more value as a bona fide journeyman at 1.5mil is a bargain.
However, we’ve had a odd stint with recent GM hires who are practically first timers in this position. This is what a president of hockey operations is needed for. No offense but why is Kim Pegula involved with this area of the team? When Brandon Beane & Sean McDermott were hired they made it a point to say that their gonna run this team & call all the shots for every decision.
