This is probably extreme, but I’d definitely buy a beer for any player that wants to take this POS out with a knee on knee or something. Unless he’s giving 50%+ of his career earnings to his victim, I never wanna see this dirt bag in pro hockey, especially not on my favorite team. I can’t believe the Bruins have completely trashed their best start in franchise history like this.

To Whom It May Concern,
I write to you today not only as a die hard Bruins fan, but as [*redacted to maintain anonymity*] and never in my [*age*] on this earth have I been ashamed to be a Bruins fan, until today. Hockey is supposed to be for everyone, and with this shortsighted signing, it shows that even this storied organization has a very long way to go to truly practice what they preach. It is honestly baffling that the front office could have such a morally strong Captain in Patrice Bergeron and then turn around and sign someone like Mitchell Miller. Miller has shown the world that he is a terrible human being whose values don’t align with those of the Boston Bruins, at least that’s what I thought until today. I’m deeply saddened by the front office’s inability to see how bad of a move this was for the franchise, but more importantly the message that it sends to the fans who are minorities, who have disabilities, are LGBTQIA+, etc.
I’m hoping the outpouring of pushback the franchise is receiving from the fanbase will show to the front office that this is not the type of player that we want to see ever represent our city or our spoked B. It is 2022, gone are the days where someone could get by on their ability to score a goal or make a key defensive play. You have to also be a good person, a person like our Captain, which is why he is so beloved by not just this city or the New England region, but by fans of the NHL all over the world. Shame on Don Sweeney, shame on Cam Neely, and shame on everyone within the Bruins organization that had a hand in the signing of this awful excuse of a human.

With all the talk among the players about the « culture » of the Boston Bruins being a key to the team’s current success, how in the world does this signing fit with that image? Sweeney and Neely just took a steaming shit on the jersey with this signing.

It’s one thing to make one mistake in your teens. This guy repeatedly spewed racist language and bullied someone for years. That demonstrates his character and it is all I need to know about him. This is not befitting of this franchise and I am frankly disappointed at this signing. Shameful.
