  1. that was the perfect game, it was close for 2 periods, we came out strong, the young guns played very well, and we lost

    perfect,

  2. ObverseNebula

I’ll take losses like that all season

  3. GoCalgaryGo

Slafs gloves are awesome. That white ok the index finger is looking slick

  4. SAM041287

Dach, Suzuki, Caufield is the sexiest first line since Koivu, Kovalev, and Zednik!!

  5. bcg_music

Mike Hoffman Don’t Fumble the Puck Challenge — IMPOSSIBLE!! 🤯🤯🤯

  6. Carles_Puigdemont

Si toutes les games pouvaient être comme ça…

  7. Melticus-B

In theory these games are perfect, high scoring game and still get closer to Bedard

In reality, losing is so frustrating

  8. sean_psc

Man, that top line fucking rocks.

Need to do something about the other three, but that’s a long-term project.

Also, I think it’s time to move Slafkovsky up to play with Monahan.

  9. eskimobootycall

The veteran forwards are abysmal, please put Hoffman on waivers.

Good news is the kids look great

  10. CocoKing02

This was the best loss in the history of losses. Maybe ever

  11. Camilla2244

Cole scored, Nick scored twice, Slaf scored + a couple Dach assists…the kids are doing well and cant wait for them to be in their prime!

  12. Ok_Youth1867

Let’s go! 3 points for dach. Slaf, caufield and Suzuki goal and 0 points

  13. DrippingHeart

Refs lost control of the game when they missed the elbow on Armia.

  14. KingMondo1

Did the defense fall asleep in the third or something?

  15. dangerbeast28

Hoffman being on the ice lowers his trade value

  16. bcgrappler

I couldn’t be happier with Dach, Zukes, Caufield, Slaf, xhekaj, harris and Guhle.

The rest of the team is a bottom 5 team.

  17. RyanWalts

At least it was entertaining! Caufield/Suzuki/Dach is firing on all cylinders – unfortunately, the rest of the team is decidedly not. Caufield/Suzuki now tied for 8 goals, 5th in the league!

I feel for Allen, the scoresheet doesn’t show how excellent he was for two periods. The third was definitely rough. That said, they never gave up. Pushed back at the end of the 2nd, kept going after some back-breaking goals… This could have been a blowout.

Slaf getting a goal was great, he had some good plays in both zones. Also got some trust from Marty and was put out there for the final seconds with the net empty!

Eddy had a rough game… some decent moments including a great takeaway from an Eichel break but a LOT of (hopefully) rust.

Either way, I had fun and for now the tank rolls on!

The end result is what I expected against Vegas, but the boys hustled hard towards the end and made great efforts to claw their way back within striking distance. Perfect tank game.

Zuk, Cole, and Big Daddy Slaf with goals tonight. Dach proving the haters wrong every single game. Love to see it.

Evening well spent as far as I’m concerned and it was definitely entertaining. Would have loved to see the X-Man lay out ColdSore though

  19. imtoocoldforthisshit

I never thought I’d hear this complaint out of myself but everyone over the age of 23 needs to contribute more.

  20. Dry-Capital-4996

Mike Hoffman is not a good hockey player by NHL standard

  21. Lordsokka

Future is bright with all the kids, but man the other lines need to do something at some point. At this rate Suzuki and Caufield will have a hundred points and everyone else will have 10! Lol

  22. Minato_is_God

Really bad game defensively, but i’ll never be upset with a Suzuki/Dach 3 point night and a Slaf goal.

  23. bordercauley

Great loss. Our young players are insane. So impressed with Dach. Suzuki is the crown jewel though, everything he does is magic.

If our veteran wingers could do literally anything we probably would be pretty good. Honestly okay with losing and getting a high pick this year though

  24. HarryBalsaque

Slaf – Monahan – Drouin please

  25. Habs_Apostle

Beat by a better team. Nick, CC, Dach, Slaf, Ghule. If we’re going to lose, nice to see our young core leading the way. We just need to fill out lines 2, 3, 4 and we’re good to go!

  26. bcgrappler

We need to move 2 of dvorak, Anderson and gally.

To many kids hitting, we will need the space.

  27. 1165834

Y’all blaming Allen for this are straight up fuckin high.

  28. antrage

I think the assessment is Hughes better start battle planning how to get rid of these vets and start identifying free agents they can sign

  29. AiurHoopla

Sucks to lose but 2 goals for zuk, 1 for cc and one for slaf… Can’t really want more.

  30. grimandnordic1

They need to scratch Hoffman so hard all his descendents remain on the scratched roster for generations to come

    *BAD*

    – Extremely rough night for Edmundsun. First goal an absolute Jimmy up the middle, second terrible pinch, multiple missed passes. Obviously dude is always rly steady, so just rust here most after a lengthy absence.

    – Drouin complete ghost. Not sure, once in a blue moon it’s like damn maybe this guy doesn’t deserve the heat, then he has a game like this ghosting and it’s like yep.

    – Gallagher and Anderson together makes my hands ache.

    – I thought in general this was actually an immensely close game til the nonexistent call on Jordan Harris. Really brutal officiating all night.

    – I’ve defended Hoffman a lot. He was bad again.

    – 2nd periods need work

    *GOOD*

    – Nick Suzuki is electric and is the captain of the Montreal Canadiens. Really finishing lately and the combo with Caufield is obv lethal. They are going to play like that for an extremely long time which is exciting.

    – Guhle passing is exceptional. Sees the ice like a ten year pro. Stud.

    – Dach is playing excellent on that top line. Interesting development looks like they found that winger for Suzuki/Caufield.

    – Never really feel like the Habs are out of the game. Compared to last year this is the development you want to see.

    – Caufield 40 is alive and well.

    – Slavkovsky really good again. I’m fine if they keep him or send him down although I think the 9 game audition has been a total W.

  32. reidk_97

Slaf has proved he belongs. Time for Hughes to move out some of our veteran slog forward and allow Slaf a role in the top 9
