What a good weekend for hockey! Yesterday's game was a good show for both teams, today was a good show for Colorado.
It's not in this highlight video but there was about an 8 or 10 second stretch towards the end of the 2nd period where the Blue Jackets connected on 3 consecutive passes before losing possession of the puck. It almost resulted in a relatively short-range shot.
Great game by Martin Kaut. He might've scored, but I loved that forecheck that lead to the Newhook goal even more

I'm not so sure that Makar was shooting at the net immediately prior to the Avs 2nd goal. I think he did an intentional bank pass off of the boards behind the goal!! 🤯 That guy continues to impress!
6:41. That's NOT a very wide wrist shot from MacKinnon. That's a pass off the boards, or at the very least a safety dump. You do not want to have the puck for long at the offensive blue line because you are vulnerable to get stripped, tackled or stick-lifted for a dangerous break-away. One would think that an experienced announcer would know this play that I am sure that little league coaches tell their players to do.

What an absolute gutless play by gaudreau on the avs 4th goal… completely sidestepped the avs d to avoid body contact and didn't even defend the break out pass up
