  1. That top line of Hagel, Point, and Kucherov has been dynamite. Congrats to Perbix for his first goal too. Gg sabres, let’s go bolts

  2. The tieing goal for Tampa Bay was goalie interference 7:09, the obvious goalie interference when Hagel comes over and whacks / pulls Andersons glove off the puck with his stick, steals it and shoots it in the net.

From the NHL rulebook "A penalty is issued when an attacking skater makes contact with the goaltender, impeding, limiting or altogether eliminating his ability to protect the net and stop the puck". Hagel's action is textbook goalie interference, he was not collecting a loose puck, he made contact with his stick intentionally with the goalies glove impeding the goalies ability to make a save.

Of course the under-staff cheap Pegula owned Sabres doesn't have the staff to challenge this goal as it should of been during the game, and of course the Linesman staring right at it happen and watching Anderson look back at him like uhh hello? Calls it a goal.

Someone must of bet a lot of money on Tampa winning this game, because another goal isn't scored until 5 minutes is left in the game, if that is instead the tieing goal, who knows what happens in this game, but nope the Sabres have to go empty net instead of going to OT or who knows what else so Tampa can finish it off.

  3. Why does my team have to be this way? What a road trip. We blow it in Carolina (like the last 14 out of 15 times we played them) and then just lay a deuce not long after making it 3-2 in this game. We just seem to love losing to these two teams in recent years.

  4. I know we are a young team and missing key D men but two soft goals by Comrie cost us. Guy is in the nhl with a save percentage of .862. How could we not have developed a goalie in the last twenty years?

  5. Dahlin was well enough to score a last-second goal in the game last night. What happened between then and now that he would miss the game?

  6. Kuch is in fire mode now. I can see him working harder to win last several games

  7. Sabres fans need to relax. This is a young, inexperienced team with several key injuries right now. They played hard and nearly upset Tampa. Expecting a win was not very realistic.

This is going to be a growing season and we shouldn't get down after a well plaued, hard fought loss. Better days are coming with FIVE former 1st round draft choices and FOUR former 2nd round draft choices still in developmental leagues. And that list doesn't even include Levi, Portillo, Kozak, Bloom, Nadeau, or Rousek. Our Prospect Pool is ranked 1st by almost every "expert". Be patient and trust the process Donny and Kevin have built.

  8. Brian Elliott is such a solid backup goalie. Reads the puck well, doesn't allow in too many soft ones. I always feel confident when he's between the pipes, as if Vassy was there.

  9. I was at that game and took my dad for his birthday, money well spent that’s for sure. What a performance by Kuch and Elliott, MVP’s of the game for me by farrrrr.

  10. Buffalo looking really strong in this game against a perennial tough team to beat. This game was closer than than it appears. Props to Eric Comrie for many incredible saves tonight. The difference from last year’s Sabres until now is night and day!! Good game, lads. Keep playing this fun style of hockey! I’m loving every minute of it.
