Vegas should snap him up on a heartbeat. They shouldn’t have fired Gallant in the first place, but Cassidy would be a big upgrade on perennially underwhelming DeBoer.
Don't get this one. Cassidy was a fine coach. On his record alone no reason to fire him on the surface. Personality clash? It happens.
If players thought Cassidy was tough to play for, they will need therapy playing for Tortorella.
They should have fired that moron Sweeney instead.
The front office in professional sports is pretty much like politics. The very people that create the problems get to keep their jobs, while those of us that have to implement their plans and policies lose ours. Is the Bruins front office telling us they would prefer Jake DeBrusk and Trent Fredrick over Bruce Cassidy. Holy crap! It looks like Buffalo will be out of the cellar soon. To all the players that complained about Coach Cassidy I say this; " There's no crying in hockey." Grow a pair or find a kinder, gentler sport.

Listening to Cam speak sounds like the players need a kindergarten teacher so they don't cry or pout
I'm worried this is going to become a trend. The report came out that his "demeanor" towards younger players wasn't accepted well…….. Trotz literally made the Islanders relevant again….. Barzal gets him fired. Now Cassidy. So. Is the league heading into an even softer direction? Where young players who can't handle a disciplined coach just get people fired? And secondly that same interview Bucci did on WEEI where those Cassidy rumors were brought up…. he mentioned Torts as a replacement? The same.guy who.ran Luongo out of Vancouver by starting Eddie Lack in the Heritage Classic? That's the guy whose going to have a better demeanor amongst the players????? Make it make sense. This league is transforming into something I don't like.
As usual ESPN has 0 clue about the subject .. The Players wanted a change and only an outsider would be surprised or upset … weak
Sweeney is the worst drafting GM ever, any sport! But Cassidy is not Al Arbour.
-If not for Columbus upsetting TB, Cassidy would never have been past the 2nd rd.
-0-4 vs higher seeds.
-in '22 went to Swaymann 1 game too late & winless on the road, needs last change.
This season will be tough for whoever coaches the Bruins.
Detroit will challenge for the 4th spot & Buffalo won't be a push over.
And Ottawa & Montreal can't get any worse.
