  1. It’s easy to have 20-20 hindsight on that moment pulling Wheeler but that move is what’s been working all postseason to get us there. You have to live with it

  2. Going into next year is going to be a challenge like I said before the Braves Mets Cubs maybe the Nats if those teams make any moves look out especially the Nats the Nationals could go after some players which they need the Braves have some players that I could see coming here maybe or possibly

  3. Wrong, wrong, wrong. let's see he had his good stuff, only 70 pitches good time to be a bonehead and pull your ace. Maybe you should have asked harper what to do.

  4. Tough loss to a great team. Let's beat them in the World Series next year. Should be easier with Painter, Griff McGarry, and full years of the improved Bohm, Stott, Marsh, and Thomson. Also maybe a fully healthy Bryce Harper. He should be even better with two good arms. Castellanos can't be worse than He was. I'd like to see a lot more of Sosa and Maton, maybe replacing Segura as a platoon.

  5. He is not the right manager for the Phillies. I tell you why. He put Alvarado in bad situation twice in two games. Phillies are all about hitting. Pitching and Defence wins world series period!!!

  6. Yeah that No-hitter was the icing on the cake 😂

  7. It hurts that this may never happen again but I guess i'll savor this run and go into next season with optimism considering this was such an unseen outcome in the first place.

  8. He cost Phillies the game. Pulling out wheeler was the worst decision in World Series history. BLAME ROB !

  9. Lol what is now for the city of Philthadelphia 16 total championship losses for the 4 sports teams that's awesome life is so good right now and I'm not an Astros fan but there's something about the city of Philthadelphia losing lol

  10. If he had good stuff still you don't take him out you f'n idiot should have kept him in that cost us the game and the championship.

  11. I thought Ruben Amaro nailed it on postgame. You have GOT to get contact hitters next year. The long ball is great. But you can’t have so many hitters that live and die by it. It’s too volatile and unsustainable.

I’m not saying go get a Ben Revere type that can’t hit it past the infield but you need someone that can sustain a .275+ average. Have to pray that Castellanos figures his shit out as well.

And I love Rhys probably more than most considering I watched up come up through Redding, but he may need to be shown the door. Hands down the most streaky hitter in our lineup. And it’s to the point where his hot streaks aren’t nearly as common as his cold spells.

  12. I'm as Astros fan and I was thankful when Thomson took out Wheeler. That was a bad coaching move.
This series really wasn't as close as the media heads are trying to say. The last 3 games the Astros pitchers held Phillies to 3 total runs. That's domination.

  13. Astros bullpen just killed us pretty much the whole series and they Phillies hitters posted one of the lowest batting averages in world series history. I was hopeful but after they dropped 2 games at home that was it. Still proud of my Phillies

  14. Thomson was so bad this series. His fking refused to switch lineup was malpractice and then you pull Wheeler for a guy who's been so bad in this series.

  15. As an Astros fan, I was REALLY surprised to see Wheeler pulled there. He was pitching well and had a low pitch count. He was one pitch away from a DP and ending the inning. I feel bad for Thompson too. He just did what he thought was best for his team and their fans to give them the best chance to win and it just didn't workout.

  16. Thomson did amazing things IMO, but he became his own worse enemy. He was stubborn with the lineup and he for some reason did not trust his Aces. Taking Nola and Wheeler out was ridiculous IMO. Alvarado blew up both those games. Keeping Nick in the 5 hole while he was struggling really hurt. Oh well. I am very pleased with this journey that the Phillies took us on this year…but changes have to be made

  17. You thought wrong….Alvarez batting .321 against lefties….go back to bench coach.

  18. Castellanos couldn't even give us half of what he did this year. Gotta find another team to take his contract.
