I just saw this. Fuck, what a loss. Rest easy you legend. Hope he has an extra shoe handy incase his arch enemy is waiting for him outside the pearly gates.

    Fuck cancer!

I really thought he was going to beat it, sad news today.

I’m so sad. I thought he was doing better with his treatment. He’s been such a big part of the Avs for me. Honestly feels like a friend has passed.

He was a goof sometimes, but he was our goof.

    This is a bummer.

He will ascend to the heavens with all the other big, strong angels. Rest easy king

Holy shit, I was getting worried when I hadn’t heard from him in a while but I also thought he was doing better. This is crushing. He’s been the soul of the avalanche forever. RIP

Man. RIP Peter. Glad he got to get back for one more Cup run.

I don’t understand. I thought he was done with cancer?

RIP Pete. Sorry for the family & friends, and to us Avs fans.

This is awful news. He will be sorely missed. I’m glad he brought so much joy to Avs fans for so many years. Taken to soon but he lived a good life that brought a lot of happiness to the world.

Oh no… that’s crushing news, I thought he’d make it through. RIP :'(

    I’m genuinely crying right now.

I met Pete in king Soopers between the conference finals and the Stanley cup.

He was such a nice human being.

He loved this team, and this sport so much.

    Rest in peace Peter.

While this makes my heart hurt, I am happy that he got to see the team he loved so much win the Cup again before he passed.
