    RIP to a legend.

I am so glad he got to see the Cup run. The exhalation he had when the clock hit 00:00 is burned into my memory. Sheer ecstatic relief by him.

What a sad day for the McNab family, KSE, and the Avalanche organization. Peter will be missed greatly, but I’m happy I had the privilege to listen to him for the last 20 odd years of Avs hockey. He was always passionate about the game and the players and was very insightful from his years playing in the league.

    Bro wtf

This can’t be real. I feel like I lost a grandparent.

Rest easy my guy you were the reason I donated my hair after the cup win. Forever in my heart

Fuck, this is sad. We love you Pete. You will be missed. Avs hockey won’t be the same without you. Rest in Peace.

Devastating news. An Avalanche legend and it makes the 2022 Cup that much more important to me. I’ll always miss him and he was such a gem on our broadcasts. I’ll never forget how as the games would go on, you’d see his cheeks get rosy and he would say some shit that would have me rolling, and he was always a bright spot even in the worst years this franchise had.

    Rest in peace, legend.

I’m so glad he got to be around for this Cup year. He deserved it!

  14. Have watched him for so long, this one hits hard. RIP Peter, the boys did it for you!

I’m currently out here in Finland and have had the BEST weekend being surrounded by all things Avalanche and watching the team plow their way to two great wins!

Currently in my hotel room in Helsinki waiting for my flight back to the UK tomorrow and I’ve just read this news and it’s hit me like a truck. Devastating!

Peter was an unbelievable member of the team and was for me, a European fan whose only source of Avs content was watching the Altitude games, a CRUCIAL part of watching and supporting this team in the recent timeline and most noticeably, winning the cup!

Thank you Peter (Penis, for old times sake) for everything and for playing your part in what makes being an Avs fan something great!

Go Ass. FUCK CANCER. Hail Satan

This is so sad. What a pleasure it was to watch him and hear him speak on the game we all love.

I’m happy he got to see our Avalanche raise the Cup.

Rip to a legend of the game.

    God fucking damnit.

    He’ll be missed so much.

Glad he got to see the Cup run, though.

Oh no 🙁 I’d hoped when he returned to the booth, that he’d be on the track for a long term recovery. We were lucky to have him, he was fantastic.

  19. He was just on the broadcast last week and he seemed like such a great guy. Major bummer.

  20. Huge_triceps

This is shocking. I’d assume he was doing so much better. This is so sad. He was an icon with the Avalanche. His voice almost soothed me every game.

Glad he got to a see one last cup run. RIP Pete

A true professional and hard worker up to the very end. Fuck this hurts.

RIP to the voice of the Avs. It’ll be strange and sad not hearing him any longer, but what a life and career he had. I’m just glad that he got to call 3 different cup wins and gave us the best he had.
