  1. John Kelly and Peter Mcnab were my favorite broadcast duo during the early years of the Avs. RIP

  2. I'm so happy he was able to be there for the cup win last season. I'm going to be crying for a while about this.

  3. I thank God he got to see the Avs win before he left us. been crying on and off since I heard the news. will be missing him desperately, next game and always.

  4. Thank you Thank you Thank you! You will always be the voice in my memories. Prayers to family and friends. Rest easy brother….

  5. I thought he was gonna survive longer, but it's over pal
I guess they'll remember him now as… St Peter McNab

  6. Peter Was a Great Man and the entire Hockey World is Grieving tonight. A legend On the Ice and in the booth! I will miss Him.

  7. I always appreciated his passion for the game. He gave credit where credit was due, even if it was an opponent. He never dogged other players and spoke highly of everyone, a testament to his character. I will always think of Peter McNab and Colorado Avalanche hockey.

  8. It sucks that Mark Moser will never find out what Snoop Dogg and Pete were talking about at one of the NHL All Star games. RIP Peter McNab.

  9. I wasn’t watching hockey when he played, may I please have some insight on who he was, as an avalanche fan?

  10. So grateful he was able to see the Avalanche win another cup. Gonna be hard to watch hockey and not hear his voice. RIP Peter. 😢

  11. Peter I am glad to have had your voice call both the cups and the so many amazing names our club had. Rest well my friend. Thank you

  12. Peter McNab was practically a grandfather to an entire generation of Colorado hockey fans like myself who were just small kids when the Nordiques franchise relocated to the city of Denver. All we knew from day one of the Colorado Avalanche was his amazing voice, his smile, his kindness, and his fantastic commentary. There is no moment in the entire history of the Avalanche that he wasn't a part of. I haven't stopped crying tonight and keep hoping that this is just a bad nightmare that I'll wake up from. We love you and miss you so much, Peter.

  13. Wont ever be the same without him…what a terrible shock to hear today. RIP-to a legend.

  14. So sad 😥. He came in when the AVS won the cup and left us when the AVS won the cup and this wonderful man covered every game perfectly in between. The AVS games won't be the same without you.

  15. I've watched many nhl games and I can say that nobody had the enthusiasm and excitement for their team has Peter McNab did for the Colorado Avalanche. He will be deeply missed.

  16. RIP Peter. You taught us so much over the many years that we were blessed to watch and listen to your vast knowledge and love for the great game of hockey!

I am going to miss you so much! When hockey season ends we miss you, Kyle, Ryker, Moser, Connor, and the whole broadcast team as much as we miss the Avs and hockey period.
Peter was such a kind man and not afraid to show his soft side to us all.

Love, light, and strength to all. Thank you Peter and Altitude for keeping him in front of us to the end.

  17. His voice will always be remembered! I can hear it now. What a loss for the community. I started watching hockey in 96 and he was part of it. I always try to watch the local broadcast because I want to hear Peters commentary! As well as the other locals too.. I thought he beat the cancer and was doing well!! Damn, he’ll be missed. Colorado hockey won’t be the same without him.
