Disabled kid, who can't defend himself, tortured for years by Miller and never apologized. Miller will (never) play in the NHL, maybe Europe……..

  2. This is a complete and total distraction. Thank you Don Sweeney, you’re a moron for subjecting this group of players to the unwarranted attention that this move has created. So much for that Harvard degree. The players have absolutely nothing to do with the decisions of management and the media can’t help themselves from creating a circus and sucking the players into it. This story is about Don Sweeney and the Jacobs family. I’ve been a vocal critic of both but maybe the most vocal critic of Sweeney and his inability to draft. If he were competent he wouldn’t have considered signing this kid but the cupboard is empty and it is of his own making. I will be thrilled if the twitter and media mob forces the Jacobs Family to sell and fire Sweeney. This is exactly what they are attempting with Daniel Snyder of the Washington Football Team.

  3. Miller will never play in the NHL and he probably won't play in the AHL . I'm very disappointed with the management of the Bruins for doing this.

  4. a group like the Boston bruins hockey team is exactly what a kid like this needs.

Understand the sentiment but truly disappointed no one is seeing the other side – particularly parents.

Juvenile records should always be kept sealed. Problem is, the "victim" can say anything they want against him, he can't say anything back – because juvenile court records are sealed – we can't know the facts.

I'd like to know this – if he was flipping burgers for mcdonald's, would these parents go knocking on McDonald's manager's office door?

I have a multiracial family – once we get past some of these unpleasant realities, we don't take our children backwards to revisit the pain.

When my kid was getting clocked over the head with huge books at school by older kids,
    No response from school staff,
I didn't let him take the abuse – I immediately put him in another school.
So I'm trying to figure out how this went on for years.

A lot of hockey parents are cringing – we have a lot of teen boys who won't get out of bed unless they've got hockey.

I'll ask folks too be adults, parents and stay calm –
    Balanced.
    not reactionary.

There's been a phenomenon going on since 2012 – USA has had the highest suicide rates of male blue collar workers between the ages of 18 – 45 years old

Absent fathers are only too common

Taking away this kid's growth and NHL career isn't going to change any abuse taken by either one of these children.

And it seems like they're trying to pack every possible piece of victimhood into this situation which happened between 12-year-old boys

And – my black child getting bullied is no worse than your white child being bullied.

Hanging a 14 year old kid out to dry, for what was probably 12 year old behavior… Which would be copied-
isn't going to solve anything. This was a missed opportunity.

I believe Canada has a prime minister who was caught as an adult doing untoward racist things

And it didn't seem to affect his career

Yet it really is a moot point to have this conversation all around

We don't know the facts folks. We can't. That record was supposed to be sealed.

Executives in the NHL are the LAST people who should be judging or speaking to this

I'm not addressing anything about this, I can see them questioning bringing this type of controversy- but throughout history these people who take on these challenges become leaders

In sports, you're rocking a multi-million dollar franchise

There's a lot of ways to look at this decision

Peace & prayers for healing to all.

  5. Stop beating it in the Ground!..The guy made a Mistake…So What…Get over it!

  6. Ian I agree what he did was discussing. That said we were told to forgive George Floyd and he put a gun to a pregnant woman's belly in front of her 7 year old son. Craig Mactavish was forgiven and had a long career in the NHL as a player and a coach. He was a child and again what Miller did was gross. I think we need to make Miller earn our forgiveness.

  7. his agent is a black person….look it up….this whole thing is bizarre and fucked up..im going to hold my judgement unlike the rest of the commoners of the world.. i hate what he did and dont forgive him or would ever like him, i doubt….but…his agent believes in him and the bruins do too….

  8. If Don says it wasn’t my call then why didn’t he stand up for himself and every player in his locker room. If the culture the bruins players have built over the last 15+ years is a sword you will die on. Then do it, Sweeney should have flat out refused to do this. I’d get fired for this if I were him.
